In 2004, still playing “AA” football in the New England Football League, the Ice Storm went 9-1, and narrowly missed winning the regular season title.

Winning at home in the first round of the playoffs the Ice Storm became the Pioneer (Northern) Division Champions. Then Vermont went on to play in the Championship game at Connecticut, losing 27-7.

While losing out on the chance for a second Championship ring, the Ice Storm posted its best-ever season at 10-2.
