Catholic Fellowship Through Sports
"Atlanta Catholic Sports (ACS) is a sports-based ministry serving young adults (19+ and up) in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. Through organized sports leagues and events, ACS is committed to enriching the lives of its members spiritually, socially and in the community." ACS is the largest adult, Catholic sports program of its kind in the United States. Founded in 1998, ACS has more than 2,100 adults playing in seven sports leagues. While geared toward Catholics, some of our members are from other Christian faiths too. All of our leagues and activities are co-ed and have divisions for more competitive, skilled players and intermediate and/or recreational divisions for those newer to a sport who simply want to enjoy Christian fellowship while honing their athletic skills. Atlanta Catholics Sports (ACS) continues to offer adult Catholics seven (7) high-quality, efficiently run coed sports leagues for all seasons.
We offer competitive, intermediate and recreational divisions to meet the wide range of skills and abilities of our 2,000+ members. Membership is free - sign up today!

Vatican Support for Sports Ministry
Pope John Paul II, for whom soccer was a passion in his youth, explained that the Church "considers sports as an instrument of education when it fosters high human and spiritual ideals; when it forms youth in an integral way in values such as loyalty, perseverance, friendship, solidarity and peace."
"Surmounting differences of cultures and ideologies, sports offers an ideal occasion for dialogue and understanding among peoples, for building the desired civilization of love," the Pope added.
The Holy Father…appealed "to put into practice these values, based on the dignity of the human person, in face of possible interests that might darken the nobility of sports itself.“
