Varsity (7-6) Head Coach Robert Garrett, Second Round of the playoffs is were it eneded, a loss to the Super Bowl Turlock Vikings 30-14. Austin Krasko had over 1230 yards and 12 td's over 100 tackles. Shane Bell had over 1220 yards with 10 tds over 80 tackles. 3rd Annual Black & Blue Bowl Chapions with a win 17-0 over Falcons. All-Stars were #1 Austin Krasko, #6 Shane Bell, #45 Kendall Kelly, #22 Robert Garces & #98 Michael Escobar. Defensive Standouts included: #36 Prince Hallion, #12 Agnew Mathis, Ernesto Sanchez, #1 Austin Krasko, #22 Robert Garrett, #19 Enrique Covarrubias. Special teams Standouts: Ernesto Sanchez, Shane Bell (41 yard FG in game 1), Leonard Aue, Nick Datray (Long Snapper). Offensive Standouts: Shane Bell, Austin Krasko, Robert Garrett, Enrique Covarrubias, Omar Garcia, Michael Escobar, Rich Marmolejo. Assistant coaches: Steve Harvey, Wayne Davis, Ramiro Ramirez & Shane Edwards. We held the #1 Defensive in the league for all 16 teams at the Varsity level.

Varsity (11-1) Head Coach Jack Campbell * Assistants: Kent Floro, Scott Wine, Kevin Navarra & Maciel Taylor. Advance to Super Bowl but lost to San Joaquin Memorial 46-16. Both teams entered the game 11-0. Very impressive team. 10 starters from this team will enter their Senior years for BCHS in 2007.

J.V. (2-7) Head Coach Dereck Gurden * Assistants: Brian Armstrong, Ray Guerrero, Ralph Calderon & Tony Dalmaso. Team opened with big win over over a talented Sierra team, but struggled tough losing 4 very close games and one was in OT.

Peewee (5-5-1) Head Coach Keith Ducey * Assistants Rob Garrett, Paul Scoggins, Lonnie Pierce & Rich Marmolejo. Team advanced to the Semi-finals of the 1st year of peewee playoffs in the league, losing to San Joaquin Memorial 24-6. Team was impressive knocking #3 Washington Union (8-1) out in the 1st round with an 18-0 win over the more talented Panthers. Stand Out Players: Jordan Kaiser, Robert Garces, Robbie Dallas & Zack Bianchi.


2002 Season
Tri-County Football League

Varsity (0-8) Head Coach: Jack Campbell * Assistants: Maciel Taylor & Gary Hanson. This team struggled with numbers and suffered in a season when every team they played were physically bigger and possessed much more depth. They held it together in order for the JV to make it to the playoffs.

J.V. (11-1) Head Coach Dereck Gurden * Assistants: Kent Floro, Scott Wine, Kevin Navarra, Steve Sziraki, Tony Dalmaso. Tri-County JV Super Bowl Champions with 18-14 win over Los Banos Tigers. Thunder fell to Tigers in the regular season 26-14 and exacted revenge in the Super Bowl.

Peewee (2-6-1) Head Coach Rob Davey * Assistants: Keith Ducey, Jason Mannon, Joe Hoffar and Eddie Regalado. Team fought hard all season long and finished with a two game win streak.
