In response to recent events, the East Islip Ice Hockey Board has decided to start up The East Islip Ice Hockey Children's Fund. This fund will be in memory of players parent's that have passed away. Our players have already lost 4 parents since 2008: Kenneth Liebergall, Ralph (Skip) Vuolo, Scott McWilliams & Mike Sullivan. The purpose of the fund will be to assist with paying for a portion of a club members hockey tuition due to the financial difficulty of losing a parent. We will start up this fund with an initial amount of $2,000 and begin various fund-raising activities throughout the year to add to it and keep it alive.

Islanders Game & skating at the Coliseum:
January 29, 2009 --
The Islanders vs Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, February 26th has earned $960 for our East Islip Ice Hockey Children's Fund.

East Islip Ice Hockey Skating Night at the Rinx:
January 29, 2009 --
East Islip Ice Hockey & The Rinx held a private skate event at the RINX on Sat, March 21st from 3:15pm - 5:15pm. We had more than 40 baskets we raffled off, plus a 50/50. At 5:15pm we picked the winners and many went away with great gifts and memories from this event. Best of all, our club was able to net $2,805 into our East Islip Children's Fund. A big thank you to all the volunteers and people that put in many hours of hard work to make this such a great success. Also a big thanks to Bob Koch and the Rinx staff who help us make this a success.

Islanders Game & skating at the Coliseum II:
October 3, 2009 --
We are currently looking into having our 2nd NY Islanders game & skate during this season. We need to pick a date that will work for everyone. If we sell 100 tickets, we will be able to have a practice or club scrimmage on the Islanders NHL ice. Please look for more information on this exciting event.
