IMPORTANT!!NEW SCORE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS!!! EFFECTIVE ON SEPT 11TH!!!!
Designated score reporter for each team will receive an email to score their game. No one else will recieve this email. If score reporter will be unavailable to submit scores for any week, please notify scorekeeper@egherdsoccer.com the week before with a backup person (name, email, phone #) so I can make the change for the scoring email.
Scores must be submitted after every game. All scores must be submitted no later than noon the day following your game.
Scores must be reported via web using new Teamsideline online reporting tool
You will receive an email informing you that a game has been played and that you need to report the scores. Just click on the link that reads “score this game”. A screen will show up where you put the score in for your team as well as the other team. Once you have put both scores in, click save.
Scores will not be posted until both team have inputted the scores for the same game. If you forget to put the scores in, you will receive another email reminder. If no scores are posted, then the game cards will be used to post the scores. We do not want to use the game cards to post the scores as this is a very time consuming method and may take a longer amount of time to get the scores posted.
Please help us out and post the scores right after the game so the scores can be posted right away online. We ask that all teams report scores. U-9 and above scores / standings will be posted on the website. But all scores (including u-8 and under) will be used for mid-season re-seeding. So please post your scores after each game you play.
Coaching Reminders
1. Regarding the technical area (the coach's box).
Please only have coaches and players in this area. As a referee is it difficult to know who are the coaches, so please have only the coaches in this area. The rules state that spectators must be inside the technical area but because we have more spectators than the technical area can accommodate we are asking spectators to be at least three (3) yards away from the touch line. This is for the safety of the players on the field and the spectators on the side lines. Also, don't forget spectators and coaches are not allowed behind the goals during the game.
2. Coach Uniform.
Please have your coaches wear their Elk Grove Rec Club coaches polo to all games. As stated above it is difficult for the referee to know who is a coach and how isn't. Most club's make coaches shirt's a requirement for games. If your coaches do not have a polo...please email Rocio
3. Sideline behavior.
Coaches you are responsible for your entire sideline; asst. coaches, players, parents, relatives, welcome or unwelcome guests. As the games become more competitive in the second half of the season the intensity levels rise. Please remind everyone about the coach or parent sideline ethics agreement they signed at the start of the season. The referee's have be instructed to enforce the Zero Tolerance Policy during the second half. If your or your asst coach are send off / carded. The minimum suspension will be 4 games, thus ending your season. A parent will be suspended for the remainder of the season. Please do not let this happen to anyone in our club. Again it is our responsibility as coaches to be level headed and control the game......Always keep in mind how you would expect your child to be treated if they were refereeing the game?
4. Enjoy the game....it is a beautiful game that is fun to watch, fun to play, and fun to referee!
