Fundraising
Because the school only provides a certain amount of funds to sports organizations, the Booster Clubs are responsible for the majority of costs within the organization. To offer an opportunity for any child to participate in a organized sport, costs are offset through the fundraising efforts of every player/family involved in that sports organization.
The FR Football Boosters provides the funds necessary for a myriad of costs for dues, fees, salaries, practice clothing and food to cover the coaches, trainers, and players through out the season.
To do that, the Boosters does several fundraising requirements throughout the year. Weight -a- Thon, Car washes, Big Cat Golf Outing, The Panther /Gold card, Hoagie/Sheetz coupon sales and possibly another fundraiser through the year. We also have a few clothing sales for the families along with 'Players Only' clothes and the waterproof Parent Stadium jackets which a great for the whole season that are completely optional. The boosters organization hopes to be able contnue offering great things for our players, parents and fans throughout the years .
We ask for your participation to not only help the cost of your player, but the cost of those players who are less fortunate and provide them with the same team benefits.

Volunteering
With any school/community organization, volunteering is required by those members to help the organiztion run smoothly. As the saying goes- " Many hands make light work". Unfortunately, we see many of the same hands carry the burden of many time and time again. Some FR organizations have been put in the position to enforce/incure fees upon their player/family members to encourage them to put in their volunteer time costs ranging from $25 - upwards to $300. We would hope within our approximate 130 players and 260 parents we would have the volunteer force to deter such fees and have everyone volunteer throughout the football season!
We ask that while signing up for commitees, that they are chaired by a Jnior/Senior parent and also a Sophomore/ Freshman parent so that the duties can be learned and passed on with an easier flow between the years. This system also gives the Senior Parents an opportunity to realx and enjoy their last season with their son in FR football. One day you will hope someone does the same for you!
Please consider giving the value of your time to help make your players experience the best it can be while he is here at Franklin Regional.

Team Meals
The FR Football Boosters supports the team throughout the year by providing them with a Kickoff Picnic, camp meals during summer camp, Thursday Night Dinners, Hoagies for them to eat on the bus ride home from away games, and also the occasional Cookout or Breakfast we might plan through the season. These boys work hard and burn alot of calories -- GROWING BOYS NEED FOOD!
Functions NOT provided by the boosters funding are -
Wed. night dinners - for SENIOR players only, to be hosted by a senior player at his home.
Friday Night post - game parties - hosted by a senior player's family at their home.

JV Games /Schedule
The JV Team or Junior varsity team consists of Sophomore and Junior and some Senior players who might not be starters in the Friday Night games.
Games are usually played at 10am Saturday mornings at the field opposite of what was played Friday night ( if we played home, JV plays the same team Away)
The coaches will usually tell which players who will be starting Friday and whether to play on Saturdays. Players will report in the mornings, depending on travel time/home away - is usually a 8/9am drop off time. All players will travel by bus to the away games.
The team Moms are responsible for picking up and transporting the hoagies and drinks for the boys to all away games.
Thursday Night Dinners
The Thursday Night dinners are a tradition for the boys to go to have dinner at a local restaurant. The coaches pick the capatins and give a pep talk about the upcoming game. The player of the week is announced and presented with a plaque and then they all eat and watch game hilight films.
This is a function that the booster pay for and the players do not need money.
Transportation - Usually the coaches and upperclassmen offer rides to underclassmen from the school to the restaurant immediately after practice - with the parents permission to have them do that. Otherwise, parents need to pick their child up at the school at the end of practice and take them to the restaurant.
Parents are to pick their player up at the restaurant at the end of dinner, which is usually around 7:00.

Middle School Program
The Middle School prgram consists of 7, 8, and 9th grades, Eventhough the 9th grade at Franklin Regional is at the High School, they are part of the Middle School program to compete against schools whose Middle Schools includes 9th grade.
Each grade has their own separate schedule for the season and transportation to and from the away games.
Players are required to wear their own Shirts, ties and khaki's on game days at the coach's discretion.
The boosters organization needs the help of all players/parents to participate in fundraising efforts for the organization as a whole.
The Middle School teams are provided with limited privledges and also asked to complete less obligated sales than the varsity level. Funding goes to their practice clothing, hoagies for bus after away games, any extra meals through the season and a banquet at the end of the year. They also provide necessary funds to carry on the traditions that have been set and benefits they will receive will increase when they reach the varsity level. The goals set each year include the required fundraising efforts and volunteer hours of all of the middle school football players and parents.
A breakdown of costs is always available upon request.
