Fundy Gymnastics Club
Formed in 1989, the goal of this club is to provide fun gymnastic instruction through recreational and competitive programs for boys and girls three years and up

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1. Who runs the club?
The Fundy Gymnastics Club is operated by a volunteer EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, with representation from parents of children in both the recreational and competitive programs. Parents interested in serving on the executive, please contact your Area Rep or any other member of the executive for more information. These positions are voted on yearly at the annual general meeting. The annual meeting is held in June(date and time to be posted on the bulletin board and in the newsletter).
2. What does the executive do?
Fundy Executive members meet regularly (monthly). The minutes of the meetings are posted on the bulletin board in the GYM on Grandview Ave for all the parents interested in staying informed. The executive are involved with the business of operating the club. They are updated monthly on the various committees that exist within the club. They also receive a general update from the recreational program from the club administrator, and also from the head coach of the competitive program. We are also there to ensure that the club remains true to it's Mission Statement in all the decision that are made by the various committees and employees.
Any items that you as a parent would like to see added to the agenda for discussion at the next meeting can do so (and are encouraged to) by contacting your area representative. If this is a coaching issue could you please first contact our head coach with your issue
3. How do I stay informed if my child is in the recreational program operated in the area schools?
Yes it is difficult. Each area has a representative that is on the executive and has been elected to represent the parents concerns from that area (ie:Hampton, Saint John, Rothesay, Grand-Bay Westfield). They are also to assist with fundraising in the area by distributing product and information. See the members on the executive list to view your contact person
The club also prints a newsletter called the FLIK FLAK annually that will also be a source of information on upcoming events, fundraising activities. The bulletin board at the main gym on Enterprise Drive is also a source of information that you may find interesting.
4. How do I get involved in FUNDRAISING, and or CLUB ACTIVITIES?
The club welcomes parents as volunteers, the success of our club is based on the active participation of the parents. Depending on the time you want to give, there is a lot that you can do. We have a variety of activities that you can participate in. For example;
** selling/buying of cheese. Being involved in our choolate bar campaign. Each of these activities need volunteers.
** participating in events sponsored by the club, competitions and gym shows
** providing baked goods for sale at our canteen, during the club sponsored activities
** serving on the executive
3. Besides the area rep, who else is involved in the recreational program?
The Fundy Gymnastics Club has a CLUB ADMINISTRATOR, who has been hired to ensure the smooth running of the day to day operations of the recreational program
What other activities does Fundy Gymnastics sponsor?
Our club operates a summer camp program every year. The camps operate in July and August at the maint gym at Enterprise Drive, in Quispamsis. More information is available in th spring, camps are open to all children (with the exception of competitive only camps).
