P3/Keg Softball is a Mens Slow Pitch Softball team outta Sioux Falls, SD. Most of our team has been around for a few years, previously known as Sanchez Taquitos. In 2003 the team was able to get sponsorship from The Keg in Sioux Falls, a long-time beer and chicken joint on the east side of town (26th and Sycamore) and now also on 57th and Marion on the SW side of town. That same year the team got 2nd place on Wednesday nights in Sioux Falls, which automatically bumps ya up to the very competitive Thursday night league here in Sioux Falls. In 2004 The Keggers got 6th place in a league of 20 teams on Thursdays, while winning a placing in many tournaments during the summer. In 2005, The squad moved up another step in their team progression by finishing 2nd place in Sioux Falls, which was followed by 3rd place finishes in both 2006 and 2007. In the past the squad has finished in the top 4 at the Spring Classic on 2 occasions, while placing 4th in the “C” at the regional McQuades event. In 2007 the Keggers got 4th place at the SD State Championships.
In 2008 the squad became Push Pedal Pull (P3) as the squads pitcher Todd Ibis and outfield Mike Boetel both had prominent roles in the company, while The Keg restaurant could no longer afford to sponsor a team. As P3 the team got 2nd place in Owatonna in the C/D division along with finishing in 2nd place in Sioux Falls after starting off 19-1, but then with injuries and other attendance issues kicking in the squad finished at 21-7 overall. In the 5 years that P3/Keg has been playing Thursday nights in Sioux Falls the team has finished 6th, 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, and 2nd. Outside of league play the squad has posted victories over the years against the likes of the original Buffalo Wild Wings, Shockers, Bases Loaded, Galland, Max Muscle, Sports Connection / Outkast, Gateway, Tryon Gym, Zoo Bar, and Workers.
Overall the squad is a buddy team that’s looked to get a little better each year, while keeping the main parts that give the team it's character. P3/Keg has never been a “free agent team” and has put a greater focus on having good character guys, and not merely being a collection of athletes.
