Online Volunteer Form for Events and Special LAX activities will also be available on this site very soon

Details and training to be provided by Program Directors.

    PROGRAM MANAGEMENT:

    Assistant Commissioner:
This is a training position for a future commissioner. Responsibilities include assisting the commissioner with various duties in order to learn the position. U9 or U11 parents preferred.

    Assistant Coordinator:
This is a training position for a future coordinator It is imperative we have someone step in to learn these positions. Programs without coordinators may suffer without support and representation. Responsibilities include assisting the coordinator and/or commissioner with various duties in order to learn the position. U9, U11 or U13 parents preferred.

    Assistant Director of Communications:
This volunteer will assist the Director of Communication to help transform information provided into a legible, organized format for the website.  Everything done through Word documents. Organization and writing skills helpful.

    Volunteer Coordinator:
This person will coordinate the database of volunteers and work with Program Coordinators and Commissioner in delegating positions. All you need is a computer with Excel capabilities, and some time to contact people.

    TEAM MANAGEMENT

    Coach:
This is the head coach position. Please contact your program coordinator if you are interested in this position.

    Assistant Coach:
No experience necessary. More than one position available for each team.

    Team Manager:
Previously known as “team mom”, this volunteer is a key communication link between the parents, the coach, and the coordinator. It is an essential administrative position, necessary to remove the organizational burden from the coach, to allow him or her to do their job… coach. Responsibilities include communications, organization and equipment/uniform management. Routine E-mail access required.

    Game Day Committee:
These positions include timers, scorekeepers, spotters, and sideline managers. Training provided.

    Tournament Committee:
Positions include coordinators, chaperons, and other assistance needed to make our tournaments a success.

    PROGRAM SUPPORT

    Field Committee:
Various positions available. Please select one of the following:

    • Field Liner:
Each team needs a field liner who will be assigned either a practice or game field to line each week. No experience required, training provided. (It’s mostly going over lines we’ll set up at the beginning of the season)

    • Field Clean Up Crew:
Each team will need someone to make sure we leave our practice and game fields free of trash. You will either be assigned to your practice field or game day field.

    • Goal Mover:
to move goals to/from the fields at the beginning and/or end of the season. You will need a truck, and a flatbed trailer is helpful.

    • Field Maintenance:
If you work for a landscaping company, that’d be great, but anyone can help. We could use help with spreading dirt, grass seed or lime, or provide advice on how to improve our fields. We hire landscapers to aerate, seed and fertilize, but any help we can get lets us keep down costs, get advice to do it right and improve the condition of our fields.

    • Field Mowing:
If you have a way to transport a mower, this is a great position for you! Fields are routinely mowed by schools/parks and rec, but we occasionally find the grass is too tall on game day. This only happens a couple of times late in the spring where the grass is growing faster than they can mow it. You will be assigned a field and be responsible to make sure it is cut for game day.

    Fundraising Committee:
These volunteers may help with apparel sales and/or additional fundraising activities that occur.

    Festival Committee:
Here we will need countless people to help with parking, concessions, organization, set up crew, clean up crew, communications, etc. See “Tournament” tab for more information. You can be on the Festival Planning Committee, or volunteer 2 hours of your time at the event as a Festival Volunteer.
