Information For Parents And Coaches
Background Checks
Our commitment is to provide the safest possible environment for all kids involved in White House Youth Soccer (WHYS). We want to provide each player with a culture of safety - a place where every parent, player, coach, administrator and volunteer works together to ensure the safety of all our players. US Youth Soccer, Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) and WHYS consider the safety of youth soccer players and others involved in youth soccer to be of paramount importance. We have implemented stringent risk management policies and practices to promote the safety and security of players, teams, team officials, parents, volunteers and spectators.
In the Fall of 2010 we implemented a process which requires all competitive coaches, trainers, volunteers, administrators, and club/league officers to complete the TSSA Disclosure Statement for Certification (Volunteer Disclosure Form) annually. Completion of this form will provide the information necessary to complete the mandatory background check required by TSSA. All coaches and administrators cannot be approved on roster (s) until the background check is completed. Background checks are required every other year. All competitive coaches must complete as a release for consent to drug testing, as per Policy 29. The drug testing does not apply to Division 4 Recreational coaches.
This information is held in strict confidence. No one will have access to, or be told of any information provided here, or discovered as a result of the criminal check unless an offense is discovered that is disallowed by the Risk Management Policy of Tennessee State Soccer Association. If this occurs, the club Risk Management Chairman will be notified.
Thanks
WHYS
