ROBERT JOHN "RJ" MONTLE
SS, P, 2003-2006
RJ is the fastest player to ever play at Martiny Field. His outstanding speed helped him achieve a the highest career batting average in NWBL. RJ was not just a one dimensional player however, With a career slugging percentage over 1.000, he was more than just a table setter. In fact, he hit in the power slot of the batting order for almost all of his career. Not only could he hit, he was a halfway decent pitcher, recording a reasonable RPI for his career. RJ's career ended when he moved to O'Fallon MO in 2006, though he had a brief stint of four games in 2009.

JOHN JOSEPH MARTINY JR.
Founder, Sponsor
Without Jay there would be no NWBL. Back in the 60s and 70s, Jay played a lot of wiffle Ball in the vacant lot next to his house. He spent a lot of time there, when he was not at the park playing baseball. Jay taught his son, Matt about the game of Wiffle Ball in the garage of his old house. As Matt got older, they played one on one in his front yard. When they moved into there currant house, Jay played the role of all time pitcher for the league. As he has gotten older, he has not spent as much time on the game due to other commitments, but he has acted as the league sponsor, paying for all the equipment, as well as field upkeep. Jay's son Matt is the NWBL commissioner.

JONATHAN CLARK MONSEES
P, SS, 1999-Present
Prior to the statistic's era, Jon was thought to be only a fair player at best. Only when statistics were officially recorded that Jon started to be really appreciated. In 2004 Jon batted .703 to finish 2nd in the batting race, cementing his status as a great. Though that was his best year in terms of batting average, he has steadily been improving in other areas. He has developed into a top three pitcher in league history, being #2on the all time strikeouts and #2 in innings pitched. Though not the power pitcher that his brother Kyle is, he finds ways to get outs, making him very successful player. With over 35 home runs and 100 RBIs he is has proven himself to be a top hitter.
