BCML Championship Tournament Information

BCML Division Playoff Facts and Info

Each age division will have a division playoff to determine the division champion.

Seeding for the playoffs are determined by a points system
+ 3   points for a win
+ 2   points for a tie
+ 1   point for a loss
0   point - game not played
 - 3   points for a forfeit

Playoff formats will be determined by the number of teams in each division and age group. Each division will have a championship and a consolation group. Seeds are always determined by the points system.

The normal, and preferred, championship format will consist of the top 4 teams in the division playing best of 3 game series to determine the champion and finalist, these two teams will receive awards. The top 4 teams will play a best of 3 game semi-final series (#4 vs #1 and #3 vs #2) with the two winners playing a best of 3 game championship series.

The BCML reserves the authority to apply the only variance to the best of three; if there are only 5 teams in the division, which necessitates a 2 team consolation, the top three teams determined by the points system will play a double round robin championship using the posted playoff tie breaker to determine the champion and finalist, this is a last resort format.

Under the normal and preferred circumstances the remaining teams in a division will compete for the consolation championship. Format to be determined dependent on number of teams participating.
