Our Purpose

The purpose of the Ellet Raiders Buckeye Youth Cheerleading Organization is to promote enthusiasm and spirit in support of our organization, develop teamwork and sportsmanship, and provide a safe environment in which the children can learn, grow, and have fun! The guidelines and expectations outlined in this handbook are to help us achieve success in all we do. Through following these guidelines and working together, Raiders Cheerleaders will realize an amazing experience that will create memories and teach lessons that will last a lifetime.

General Information

The number of cheerleaders placed on each team, as well as team structures, will be determined by the Raiders Cheer Directors. There will only be one squad per grade level. The squads for grades 3-6 will be limited to 12 girls. Grades 7 & 8 will be combined into one squad of 14 girls. Because of this, we consider it an honor and a privilege to be part of this organization. It is very important that you all get along with each other and realize that NO ONE CHEERLEADER IS ANY BETTER THAN THE OTHER – YOU ARE A TEAM! Remember you are all on the same team representing the same organization. You must work as a squad. If a cheerleader is struggling, please do not ridicule, but help her. It makes you a better person, and makes your squad stronger. Feelings are important. Treat someone as you want to be treated, and be proud and stand by each other!
