Four Lady Hawks Honored

Four Lady Hawks were recently honored by the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches. They join five other District 11-4A honorees by being selected to the Region 1 All Region and/or All State teams. Senior keeper Lexi Stinson was named to the All Region and All State Teams for the third time. She is joined on the All Region Team by Senior Captain Caity Conaway, Senior Emily Sumrall, and Sophomore Stephanie Sorrells. It is the second consecutive time Conaway has been recognized as a defender on the team and comes on the heels of her 2011 Star-Telegram Super Team selection. Sumrall makes her appearance after a stellar year in the midfield that saw her named team MVP by her fellow players. Sorrells also joined Conaway on the S-T Super Team as a midfielder and becomes only the third sophomore from Birdville to be recognized by TASCO. She was also only one of three sophomores from Region 1 selected to this year’s squad.
