Coach Weaver is a 1974 graduate of Lee High School and a former baseball player under Lee Head Coach John Dudley.  After graduation, Butch attended Calhoun Community College, and the University of Alabama, where he completed his undergraduate work in 1979. Coach Weaver is entering his 36th season as Head Coach at Lee High School.
 Coach Weaver began his coaching career while a student at Alabama, working with the Babe Ruth Baseball Program during the summer.  From 1975 -1978, he compiled a 39-13 coaching record during regular season play, winning three league championships at Oak Park, Huntsville, Alabama.  Post season accolades include two District Championships and an appearance at the Alabama State Babe Ruth Baseball Tournament.
 Coach Weaver began coaching and teaching full-time following his graduation from Alabama, serving as the Head Baseball Coach at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama during the 1980 season.  He then transferred to S.R. Butler High School in 1981, serving one year as an assistant coach before moving on to J.O. Johnson High School.  Duties as assistant coach at Johnson High School extended from 1982 through the completion of the 1986 season.
 Selected to head Lee High School's Baseball Program prior to the 1987 season, Coach Weaver seized the opportunity to return to his alma mater and build a winning program.  His career record at Lee stands at 542 wins and 483 losses, during the time he has been named Huntsville's City Coach of the Year on seven separate occasions - 1989, 1991, 1995, 1998, 2006, 2012 and 2017.  Coach Weaver's successes as Head Coach of the Lee Generals are evident not only in the win/loss columns and history surrounding the school's baseball program, but in the development of the athletic facilities and playing field. Coach Weaver has had eight players drafted and to play professional baseball. There has been over 75 players to continue playing baseball at the college level. In 2017 Coach Weaver reached his 500th career victory.
  Coach Weaver was selected to the Huntsville-Madison County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013 and was selected to the Alabama Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 2018.
  Butch is married to Patti Campbell Weaver for the past 41 years. They have two children, Matthew (37) and Rachel (34).  Rachel is married to Matt Reynolds and they have three sons (Kipton 10, Kaden 7 and Kyleb 4)

Derrick Price

Assistant Coach

Derrick Price is entering his 3rd year at Lee High School in coaching baseball. Derrick graduated from Buckhorn High School in 1998. Derrick is a three year letterman in four different sports baseball 4 years, football 1 year, basketball 4 years with a State Championship his Freshman year, and tennis  1 year). Derrick walked on at UNA to play baseball for one year, and concentrated his studies in general education. Coach Price has coached travel baseball on the youth level for 9 years.  Derrick is married to Brandy (Brooks) Price for the past 14 years and have two children (Jada 13 & Caison 10). Both children attend Chapman School. Derrick also coaches football at Lee and is entering his 2nd year in baseball.

 

Chris Jennings,

Chris graduated from Lee High School in 2006, where he played baseball all 4 years while at Lee. After high school, Chris played college baseball at Alabama A & M for 3 years while working on his physical education degree. He later graduated a Athens State. Chris was hired and coached softball at Sparkman High School during the 2014-15 school year. The softball team was runner up in class 7A that year. Chris is now hired by the Huntsville City School system and is currently teaching at University Place School. Chris will be entering his 6th year to coach baseball at Lee. He first started coaching in 2011 and is a valuable member to the Lee High School family.

Tyler Lowman

Tyler was a 2016 graduate of Lee High School, where he played baseball for four yearsThis will be Tyler's 4th year in coaching baseball at Lee. Tyler is currently working for the City of Huntsville as a utility worker in Operations department.
