KEVIN BICKLER
Varsity Head Coach, QB's, Varsity Offensive Coordinator

 Coach Bickler attended Glencoe from 1992-1995 where he played quarterback and won a State Championship, going 14-0 during his senior year. Following high school, he continued playing QB at College of the Siskiyous in 1995 and Western Oregon University from 1996-1998. Kevin coached QB’s at Glencoe from 2000-2003 while former NY Jets QB, and four year University of Tennessee starter, Erik Ainge played there. This will be his 16th year at Southridge and his second year as the Head Football Coach, and he was honored to coach during Oakland Raiders Jeron Mastrud’s time as a Skyhawk and has also coached on the State Championship runner-up team in 2006 and State Championship team in 2008. Kevin’s father has been his biggest influence on his coaching career because of the values that he taught him and his influence on supporting his goals in the game of football. His goal as a coach is to have excellence in all areas of life for the players and coach in a program that unites the community and provides the best opportunities of success for kids.  Kevin has two children, Dylan (15) a Sophomore at Southridge and Wyatt, (12) a sixth grade student at Conestoga. Kevin loves  to fish, camp, snowboard, spend time with his family, and coach! 

 

KALEB MITCHELL
Defensive Coordinator

Coach Mitchell will be entering his 19th year in coaching and 1st season coaching football at Southridge. He began his coaching career at his alma mater Riddle HS in 1999. Throughout his coaching career he has made several stops. Before arriving at Southridge, Coach Mitchell was the Defensive coordinator at Lincoln (’18), The head JV coach at Aloha (’17), Offensive coordinator at Aloha (’15-16), the head coach at Molalla high school (’08 – ’14), JV DC at Tahquitz HS in Hemet, Ca (’07), DC at Myrtle Point HS (’06), DL coach at Southern Oregon University (’04) DC Oakland HS (’03), DC Days Creek HS (’01 – ’02), OL/DL coach Riddle HS (’99). Coach Mitchell Graduated from Riddle HS in 1993 where he was a 3-sport athlete (football, basketball, & baseball). After HS he moved on to WOU for two years. He then spent one season at the U of O, before transferring to

Missouri Valley College for a season. He finished the last 2 seasons of playing career at SOU, where he graduated and pursued his master’s in teaching. He is currently a member of Mountainside HS’s science cohort. Coach Mitchell and his beautiful wife Heather have two daughters, 2-year-old Jane and 13-year-old Rory. He is excited for the upcoming season. GO SKYHAWKS!

 

KYLE SHEPHARD
Varsity Wide Receivers Coach

 Coach Shephard grew up in Eugene, Oregon, where he fell in love with football after attending his first game at Autzen Stadium in the 5th grade. He played and then coached at Willamette High School from 1991-1998. After graduating from Portland State in 2001, Kyle acquired his Masters in Education in 2003. He was lucky enough to get hired on by Southridge in 2004 and is completing his 15th year as a Language Arts teacher there. Over the last fourteen years, Kyle has been able to coach as both an assistant and as the head coach of the Freshman team. He has also spent time as a JV/Varsity assistant and coordinator, and his most memorable experience was as the special teams coordinator during the 2008 state championship game. His biggest influence in coaching was Marty Johnson, who he played for and coached with at Willamette High School. His philosophy for his players is that each man understands that he has a special place on the team and as long as he does his job every day to the best of his ability, the team can feel successful. Kyle feels very lucky every day to be married to his wife Ashley, and so blessed with his son Caden (5) and daughter Ava Jo (2).

 

SCOTT NOWACK
Varsity Defensive Backs

 Coach Scott Nowack attended Roseburg High where he played on the ’81 undefeated state championship team. Following high school he attended Oregon State University and played football for the Beavs from 1982 – 1985 as a DB and special teams player. He coached and served on the league board of Southridge Youth Football from 2004-2011 and also coached for Murrayhill Little League from 2004-2009. He joined the Skyhawk staff in 2012. His favorite aspects of coaching are the camaraderie between fellow coaches and players and teaching valuable life lessons through the great game of football. Game Day is pretty awesome, too! Coach Nowack served in the US Army for 15 years as a commissioned officer, both active and reserve duty, and is currently the Director of Sales and Marketing for a NW based company. He’s been married to his wife Allison for 24 years, their son Cameron and daughter Gracie are Southridge graduates, and they have a black lab named Marly. 

 

WILLIE LOWE
Defensive Backs Coach

 Willie Lowe attended Southridge High school from 2006-2010, and was the second string running back on the 2008 state championship team.  Coach Lowe received honors for 1st team All League Running back, and 3rd team Defensive Back his senior year. Willie went on to medical redshirt at De Anza College in 2011, and played at Defensive Back and Running Back for College of the Siskiyous in 2012.  He is currently playing in the WWFA Amateur Football League. This is Willie’s first year coaching and he is beyond excited and fortunate to give back, as well as being a part of the community that he grew up in. His goal as a coach is to see his players strive to be better athletes and people and to be leaders on the field and off of it

 

TYLER CAREY 
Running Backs Coach

 Coach Carey graduated from Westview High School in Beaverton in 2008. He was First Team All-Metro and Honorable Mention All-State Tight End. Tyler then went on to Graduate from Western Oregon in 2013, where he played Tight End and Fullback for two seasons. Prior to that, Coach Carey played two seasons at Western Illinois. Coach Carey also coached the Varsity & JV Running Backs at Westview in 2013 & 2014. During this time, Westview had a Running Back with 1,277 rushing yards (2nd in school history) and 22 Rushing TDs (school record). Assisted youth teams in 2015 & 2016. Tyler then returned to coaching in 2018 as the Freshman Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs Coach at Tualatin High School. In addition to coaching the Freshman team, Carey was also the Head Coach of the 8th Grade Team. Coach Carey enjoys road trips, concerts and officiating basketball in the offseason.

 

MARC YAKUBISIN
Varsity Offensive Line

 Coach Yakubisin grew up in the Beaverton area and played at Sunset High School, later moving on to play at Willamette University. He is in his fourth year coaching at Southridge High School as a line coach and continues to live in the Beaverton area, along with his wife Catherine, his son Nathan.  His philosophy on coaching is derived from the belief that surrounding yourself with successful people breeds your own success; a lifelong message that he first absorbed from a coach of his own when he was in high school.  Off the field, Coach Yakubisin is an Account Executive at a local technology integration firm, Diversified, and has a focused hobby in home improvement projects.

 

JASON MOXLEY
Defensive Line Coach

 Coach Moxley graduated from Tualatin high School in 1994 achieving All State and 3 Rivers league recommendation Jr and Sr years as a TE and DE. Jason received OSAA/USMC Most Distinguished Athlete of the Year 1994 (SR year) for the State of Oregon.

After High school Coach Moxley joined the United States Marine Corps and served in Special Forces E.O.D. (Force Recon) and as a Marksman & Hand to Hand Combat Instructor for 5 1/2 years. During his time in the USMC he played Semi Pro football for the All Marine/Navy team as well as the San Diego Dolphins for 3 years as a DE.

Coach Moxley has been coaching football for 9 years and 5 of those have been as the DL coach at the High School Varsity level.

Coaching is a passion of Jason’s solely based on creating relationships that will not only help mold our young men into great adults but to make friends for a lifetime.

He met his wife (Toni) of 23years while Jr’s in High School. Together they have 3 boys (Kole 17yo - Kyle & Kaleb 15yo) that keep them young at heart.

Coach Moxley is extremely excited and humbly honored to be on Coach Bickler's staff this year joining an amazing group of coaches that are in it for the same reasons he is “The kids”.

 

CARLIN IRISH

Defensive Line Coach

 

Coach Irish graduated from West Albany High School where he participated in Choir, Track & Field, Wrestling, and Football, earning All-Conference honors his Junior and Senior years at offensive tackle. He accepted a scholarship to play football at Oregon State University under Head Coach Dave Kragthorpe, eventually transferring to Western Oregon to finish his Health Administration degree and play offensive line for the Wolves under Head Coaches Bill McArthur and Randy Wegner. Coach Irish believes in success through enthusiasm and teamwork, stressing “we are better together”.

He is married to Jenny whom he met in the sixth grade in Albany. She spends most days working and volunteering at Hiteon Elementary and Conestoga Middle Schools where their daughters Helen and Lauren attend. He works as a Lumber Trader for Hampton Lumber.

 

 

CHAD MCINTYRE
Wide Receivers Coach

 Coach McIntyre attended Aloha High School from 1990 – 1993 where he played defensive back and Wide Receiver. During his time at Aloha he was a three sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and track. After high school he coached defensive backs, linebackers, and served as the defensive coordinator for the Sunset youth football program in 1994. As a reservist for the United States Marine Corps, where he served 8 years with the 6th Engineer Support Battalion, coach McIntyre was ingrained with principles he lives by today. These principles include courage, commitment, respect and integrity. Chad teaches middle school math at one of the Beaverton School District options schools, Health and Science School. Coach McIntyre has 3 children who will one day be attending Southridge HS. He and his wife, Da’Lynne, were blessed with two daughters, Reese 13 and Morgan 8, and son Hudson 10. As of August 2019 he will have been married to his wife Da’Lynne for 21 years. Chad enjoys the outdoors, working out, and spending time with his family. This will be Coach McIntyre's 3rd season as an assistant coach for the Southridge Skyhawks football team.

 

KYLE CHAMBERLAIN
Technology Coach

 Coach Chamberlain grew up in Beaverton and graduated from Sunset High School in 2009. Coach Chamberlain played both defensive back and linebacker in high school. After Sunset, he pursued a collegiate baseball career at Linfield College, graduating with a degree in Business Management in 2013. After graduation, Chamberlain coached college baseball at Pacific University for 3 years while completing his Masters in Teaching. In 2016, he was hired to be the head baseball coach for the Skyhawks and in 2017 he was hired to teach Social Studies at the school. Coach Chamberlain is entering his first season as an assistant for the football program.

 

NICK STAHL
Varsity Offensive Line, JV Offensive Line

 Nick Stahl grew up a Skyhawk. He started playing Southridge football in 3rd grade and graduated from Southridge high school in 2014.  Coach Stahl was a third team All-league Offensive lineman his senior year and went on to George Fox university to play football and study electrical engineering.  This will be his first year with the Skyhawks this season hell also be finishing up classes in his Fifth year at George Fox.  Nick is excited about the opportunity to give back to the program that has given him his best memories and opportunities.  And hopes to show his players what it means to be a Skyhawk on and off the field.

 

GREG STOLLER
Varsity Linebackers, JV Head Coach

 Greg Stoller has been coaching for 20 years both in Washington and Oregon.  This is his fifth year at Southridge.  He is fortunate to have been married to Kate for 20 years.  They have a family of two daughters (Marin and Regan).  His oldest daughter, Marin, whom is a Southridge Alumni, is currently serving her country in the Navy.  His youngest daughter, Regan, will be a sophomore this year at Southridge.  Greg also served his country in the U.S. Army after he graduated high school.  Go Hawks!!!

 

DYLAN SIMKINS
Linebackers Coach

 

 Dylan attended Southridge High school from 2006-2010, and was a Running Back/Defensive Back on the 2008 state championship team.  Coach Simkins received honors for 2nd team All-League Running Back, and 2nd team Defensive Back his senior year. He also received All League Honors in both Wrestling and Lacrosse. Dylan played Running Back in college at Western Oregon University from 2010-2015. He received his Bachelors of Science Degree and a minor in sports leadership.  He is currently working as a personal trainer at Crunch Fitness. This is Dylan's first year coaching and is excited to give back, as well as being a part of the community that he grew up in. His goal as a coach is to see his players strive to be better athletes, people and to be leaders on the field and off of it.
