Congrats to TNLI 02 for taking 1st Place at the Extreme Summer Heat in Linden NJ. Being a second year 14U team, TNLI 02 decided to challenge themselves and play up at the 16U level in an out of state tourney. They responded to the challenge by going undefeated on Sunday giving up only 1 run in a rain shorten tourney. 

Congrats to Team Nitro 02, who took 2nd place in the Memorial Day tourney the weekend of May 27 & 28, 2017. Playing up at 16U, TNLI 03 went 3 and 0 on Saturday, heading into Sunday as the number 1 seed. After getting a bye in the first round on Sunday, they finished off LI Surge Select and the LI Express 16U East before facing the Chiefs 02 in the finals. In one of the best games played all weekend, TNLI 02 lost in the bottom of the 7th, when the tying run was thrown out at home play to end the game with a score of 5 to 4. Congrats the girls for such a great showing!

Congratulations to Team Nitro 02 for taking 1st Place at the Mount St Marcy College Invitational tourney this past weekend (October 8 & 9, 2016). TNLI 02 went a combined 6 - 0 to take the Championship home. Congrats on an awesome job ladies.

Congrats to TNLI 02 for their Championship run in the USSSA Andles in the Outfield Tourney this past weekend (July 23 & 24). The team went a combined 7 - 0 in capturing 1st Place in a tournament that featured a very strong field of 16 teams coming from as far as New Rochelle, NY  and Lebbaon NJ.

On Saturday, the team went 3 - 0, scoring a combined 30 runs while only giving up 7. On Sunday, the team won thier first two games in uneventful fashion against the LI Hellcats and the LI Express. In the semi-finals, the team played the King Park Rangers to a 1 - 1 tie, leading to International tiebreaker before pulling out an extremely hard fougher 2 - 1 win that took 11 innings. This set up a championship game versus the LI Rebels. In a close back and forth game, TNLI 02 pulled out a 6 to 5 win to seal the Championship.

What made this championship win even more special, the girls were playing for Rhiannon Scott a teammate of many who is recently left us all to early in her young life.She was an outfielder in the Team Nitro organization and as the name of the tournament symbolizes, she was their Angel in the Outfield this past weekend.   

Congrats to Team Nitro 02 for taking Runner Up in the Spring 2016 USSSA NIT Tourney the weekend on May 14 & 15, 2016. After seeding 3rd coming out of the Saturday seeding rounds where they faced some tough competition when they beat the Chief 02 11 - 2, then proceeded to tie with the LI Thunder 2 - 2 and the LI Waves 0 - 0.

On Sunday, they faced off with Team Nitro 03 (who decided to play up at 14U) and broke it open in the last inning to win 7-1, they then faced the LI Rebels in a hard fought contest where they were trailing 1 - 0 going into the 6th inning before a rally that scored 3 runs to win the game 3 - 1. This setup a showdown against the LI Waves, but Nitro 02 just could not find a answer to their pitching and lost 4 - 0 to take 2nd Place. A great showing once again for Nitro 02 who continues to show that they are one of the best teams in the 14U ranks on LI.

Congrats to TNLI 02 after taking first place in the 2016 USSSA Warm Up Tourney this past weekend. The girls worked extremely hard during the intensive winter training program that included a 2 hour session on just Fielding, Throwing and Baserunning, another 1 hour session on strictly hitting and lastly a one hour session for just the Pitchers and Catchers. This hard work paid immediate dividend in their first tournament of the season with a 1st place finish among some very strong 14U opposition.

TNLI 02, made up of all girls born in 2002 is a first year 14U team and went a combined 5 - 0 this weekend, outscoring their opponents 35 to 15. The competition was strong and TNLI 02 had to beat some very established as well as upstart teams, but in the end they were able to come away with the championship. Congrats 02 on a great opening weekend of work. 

Congrats to TNLI 01 for taking 1st Place in the Queen of the Hill 14U tourney this past weekend. In a field of 14 teams, TNLI 02 went 3 and 0 on Saturday scoring 35 runs giving up only 7 runs to a first place seeding going into championship bracket play on Sunday.

After a bye in the first round on Sunday, Nitro 02 played the Junction Girls in their first game and crusing to a win that setup a match against the LI Express in the semi-finals. A game which saw TNLI 02 leading 5 to 2 most of the game before LI Express tied it late in the game setting up a walk off win for Nitro in the home half of their inning and propelling them into the final against the Chief 01 team.

The championship game saw a Nitro take an early 2 - 0 lead before the Chief went ahead 3 - 2 in the third inning. After some stellar outfield play by their right fielder who made several lead saving catches on well hit ball, the Chief add to the lead in the 5th and Nitro was in a 7 to 2 deficit.

In the bottom of the 5th and two outs Nitro was able to scratch across 2 runs to cut the lead to 7 to 4. Again in the bottom of the 6th, a game saving catch by the right fielder with 2 on was the defensive highlight of the game, taking just about all the wind out of Nitro's sails.

But with a never say die attitude, Nitro entered the bottom of the seventh with what appeared to be an insurmountable 4 run deficit. But with a never say die attitude, each player stepped up to the plate and executed their job. hard hit after hard hit lead to 3 runs and a tie score. Then with the bases loaded and 2 outs another hard hit ball found the outfield grass, leading to a walk off Championship win for a team then never quit! Congrats TNLI 02 on a hard fought 1st Place win!

Congrats to TNLI 02 for taking first place in the LI Riptide Beach Blast tourney over the weekend of July 11 & 12. They went a perfect 6 - 0 in route to the championship. They had to face TNLI 03 in the Semi-Finals and won a well played game 4 to 1 before beating the LI Riptide in the Finals 5 to 4. Awesome Job Girls!
