ACS "Legend" Honored by Archbishop, YAM
November 5, 2006 --
It was a special evening last night at St. Ann for ACS founder, legend, and current Flag Football Commissioner, Wayne Pickell. Wayne was honored with the Living Stone Award "for helping to develop and build community through our sports ministry." During the special evening, Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory honored the individual achievements and efforts of many Catholics who have dedicated themselves to enriching the lives of young adults.
The Office of Young Adult Ministry (YAM) held its 10th anniversary banquet at St. Ann in Marietta on 11/4, with 200 people in attendance. ACS was fortunate to have past Co-President and current Basketball Commissioner <Tom Hart, and current Co-President Patrick Hanna also recognized by Archbishop Gregory.
