On October 17, 2009 All City Bass members took votes on who will become their next director starting this winter. The change came when Pete Waller announced his retirement late this summer after more than 20 years of service. Two ACB members, Danny Woodard and John Sharpe, were nominated but when all the votes were tallied, Danny had the edge. Danny has been a stand up member and should make an excellent President.
Starting in 2010 ACB will carry a Vice President, a new position creeated to help with the large task vacated by Pete. John Sharpe was also nominated for this position along with Ron Tomey. John recieved the most votes and has been named the first ACB vice president. He has been a member of All City for two years and has made leaps to help improve what has been a successful club. John took over as webmaster in 2009 and has also been in charge of sponsorships. I believe All City has the youth and dedication to keep this club running strong for the next 30 years. |

Pete Waller Retires
Pete Waller, the long time president of All City Bass, retired Saturday September 19th after 20 years of service to our club. Pete is regarded to some as the sole reason this club has lasted as long as it has, over thirty years, all of which Pete has been a part of. Pete has not only stabilized the once crashing club in the late 80's but has also been responsible for helping Easter Seals, an autism center, take their challenged children fishing for more than 20 years. The community and ACB will sorely miss his leadership and heart. Pete might have stepped down as our chief but he has a lifetime of friends and family that will be around forever. Thanks for everything Pete!!! |

Congratulations John Sharpe and Mike Moore for winning your first All City Tournament
Old Hickory Lake was the place it happened and by 8:00 am they already had their winning fish in the boat. Fishing shallow, very shallow, is what John and Mike keyed on early and often catching the biggest fish of the tournament, 4.10 pounds, in only a foot of water with a swimbait. Most of the keepers however came on a wacky worm fished around docks and grass edges. The remainder of the fish caught came on a deep diving crank in 5 foot of water. " The reason I used the deep diver was because it would reach the bottom a lot faster and it allowed me to cover more water at the preferred depth, the bottom." John said. " And the wacky worm was great! Everywhere we went bass were attacking shad and most of the bigger fish were just sitting on the bottom waiting on the shad that smaller bass had injured to fall to them and the wacky worm simulated this very well." |
