Union Park in Corstorphine is likely home for 2009
The Edinburgh Diamond Devils off-season talks with Edinbrugh City Council and Edinburgh Leisure have led to an increased likelihood of the club playing its senior team matches at Union Park in Corstorphine for the 2009 season.
The park is also home to rugby union and league and, unlike Morgan Playing Fields, has changing facilities and storage. The club is carrying out investigations in the next few weeks on the full viability of the site after a positive previous inspection in 2008.
The location on the western side of Edinburgh should prove beneficial for visitors and the location within a densely populated urban area will boost recruitment and local exposure.
