FHYSC RECREATIONAL SOCCER Registration
Registration is first come, first served. Player spots will be limited depending on the number of coaches and sponsors who come forward. All players registering after August 16th will be placed on a waiting list. Please bring a copy of child's birth certificate if a first time player.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When does the recreational season start?
The game season begins October 31st and runs through mid-February. Practice begins the week of October 5th for U14 & U16 & U19 and the week of October 12th for U8 through U12 and the week of October 19th for Micro & U6.
What is the cost of registration?
The cost of registration is $105 per player Micro & Under 6 and $115 Under 8 and older.
Where are the games played?
Games are played at the Anderson Snow Soccer Complex unless your player is on a U14 and above team. These teams play 1/2 their games at Anderson snow and 1/2 their games at other local clubs.
When will I hear from my coach?
You should hear from your coach by September 19.
When will the team practice?
Team practices are normally determined by the coach with input from the players families. Micro thru U8 teams practice once a week, U10 and above teams practice twice a week.
When will the games be played?
All Games are played on Saturdays.
How old does my child have to be to play?
The player must be age 4 by their first practice.
When will we know the game schedule?
By the end of October.
When will we receive our uniform?
The coach will hand out the uniforms before the first game. Uniforms are included in the registration fee and consist of a jersey, shorts,T-shirt and socks.
How will my child be placed on a team?
All teams are formed in September by a blind draw based on age and experience. The only players guaranteed to play together are those of the coach, assistant coach, and sponsor. Please do not ask to be on the same team with a friend or for carpool purposes.
What is opening day cermonies about?
Opening Day Cermonies will be held October 31st, and will include team and indivdual pictures, a short ceremony announcing the teams and coaches, followed by a mini-game for micro through U12. Under 14 and above age groups will play a regular game.
What if my child decides not to play soccer, or we move, can we get our money back?
Once your child has been placed on a team if you would like to remove them please contact Cindy by the following dates:
Prior to September 18th - Full fee will be reimbursed
Between September 19th & October 25th - 50% of your fee will be reimbursed.
After October 25th - No fees will be reimbursed.
I am interested in coaching a team, what do I need to do?
We are always in need of coaches. If you would like to coach or assistant coach please contact Cindy.
I am interested in sponsoring my childs team, what do I need to do?
We are always looking for sponsors for our teams, please contact Cindy.
