Hamburg Community Soccer Club is a 501C3 public charity and is a volunteer based organization. We are proud that HCSC is able to provide such a terrific sport to our community's children and currently have over 1000 players, ages 4 and up in our programs. The registration fees that are charged partially defrays the basic costs of player uniforms, referees, insurance, player and coach development clinics and some of our administrative and field maintenance costs.
Each year as the number of participating children increase we find that our fees fall short of our overall needs to properly maintain, develop and mark the fields, supply goals, nets, balls., first aid kits, etc.
We could use your support. Please consider volunteering and/or making a donation today!

Club Administration - There are many jobs required to make an athletic club work. Persons holding elected positions such as President,Registrar and Treasurer do much of the work. Administrative volunteers do some of the work and volunteering for club administration is a way to keep the club working in top form and reducing the burden on the few that do the most work.
League Representatives: Volunteers are need for each of the following leagues: A, C and D. The league representative will be the liaison between the teams and the HCSC board.
Special Events - HCSC holds special events on occasion - most notably "Soccer Saturday" which is held at the end of each spring season as a celebration of the end to the soccer-year. People are needed to help organize special events and make the activities happen.
Fund Raising - HCSC has several long-term projects in mind to improve our facilities. We plan to carry out fund raising activities to help fund these projects. We need people to chair as well as run these activities.
Field Maintenance - HCSC currently has use of Hamburg Township's soccer fields in Bennett Park West of Merrill Road. This complex has 15 soccer fields with room for at least a couple more. We need help keeping them clean, painted, free of critter holes (two-legged, four-legged and no-legged), and in good repair.
or volunteer for a program as a:
Coach - The coach is responsible for organizing the team, setting a practice schedule, carrying out practices to teach players individual and team soccer skills and to coach his/her team in scheduled games, including deciding who plays where and when and helping the team understand how to put in their best performance. Promote good sportsmanship.
Assistant Coach - This is a good place to start if you're not sure you're ready to be a coach. The assistant coach helps the coach organize the team, helps conduct practices, helps coach the games (usually working with the goal keeper) and takes the coach's place at practices or games when the coach cannot attend. The same ingredients for success in coaching apply to assistant coaches as well (See above).
Team Manager - The team manager is responsible for taking certain administrative duties from the coach so he/she can focus on working with the kids. Examples include: managing the "snack schedule" for treats after games and helping the coach get team photographs taken and distributed. On some more competitive teams, the manager may have some record-keeping duties and organize fund raising activities to defray additional training and/or tournament costs.
All coaches, assistant coaches and team managers must be 18 years of age and will need to obtain Risk Management clearance before than can be assigned to a team. Click Here for more information on how to obtain a Risk Management clearance. You will also need to register as a volunteer with our organization please click here
