Thank you for your interest in being a Team Sponsor!  Last year, nearly 450 girls from the Iowa City area participated in our program.  The mission of Iowa City Girls Softball is to give every girl interested an opportunity to learn the game of softball and have fun playing it.  In keeping with this endeavor, we were able to provide over 40 girls with financial scholarships with support from local businesses and organizations.

Iowa City Girls Softball is a volunteer run, non-profit, recreational softball league.  Membership is open to every girl in Kindergarten through grade 12, regardless of talent or ability.  Business sponsors play a key role in the Iowa City Girls Softball organization.  Your sponsorship fee covers the costs of the team’s shirts and helps offset equipment costs, field upgrades, and a host of other expenses.   Team shirts proudly display your business name and graphic logo on the back of the shirt.  Sponsors will be provided a complimentary team shirt and team photo to display at your office in recognition of your support.  Should your sponsored team win or finish second or third in the final tournament, you will be given a trophy to display as well.  Please note: trophies are awarded in the following divisions only: Intermediate, Junior, and Senior.

The cost to sponsor a team for the 2013 season is $200 and since the league is a 501-C non-profit your sponsorship may be tax deductible.  If you would be willing to partner with Iowa City Girls Softball, please complete the attached sponsorship form and return it and the sponsor fee, to: Iowa City Girls Softball

There are two additional ways in which you can partner with ICGS.  For an additional $75 your business can be a co-sponsor of the Sportsmanship Awards which are awarded to two teams each in the Intermediate, Junior, and Senior leagues.

We would also welcome a voluntary contribution toward new equipment.  The majority of our equipment was purchased long ago and is need of updating and in some instances, complete replacement. Last year we replaced the catcher’s equipment and this year we are replacing bats.
