Round Rock May Madness - 1st Place
The Mavericks competed in Super Series Round Rock May Madness Tournament on May 9th - 11th at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock and Triple Play Sportsplex in Georgetown. The team struggled during the pool play games against the LCP Titans and Lake Travis Storm, going 0 and 2 putting them the 7th seed into Sunday's Championship play. The boys faced the Lake Travis Storm on Sunday at 12p and behind Matt's pitching, beat the Storm 7 to 3 propelling them into the next round against the SA Heat. The Mavericks were getting a bit heated and played a tough game to ultimately defeat the Heat 6 to 5. With that victory, the team faced the LCP Titans in the Championship game. The team came together and played some outstanding defense to beat the Titans 8 to 5. The Mavericks had an outstanding Sunday after getting off to a rocky start on Friday night. They boys gave their Mom's a great Mother's Day gift! We are very proud of how they played and what little gentleman they are growing up to be.
