MINNESOTA STING HEAD COACHES
STING President and Sting 16 Gold Coach

Sean has been coaching fastpitch softball for 20 years. As a high school varsity coach, his St. Bernard's team won the Class A state championship in 2002 and his North St. Paul team has made four straight appearances in the Class AAA state tournament with a second place finish in 2004 and 2008 and also a championship in 2007.
Sean started the Minnesota Sting softball club in 2006 and his Sting teams have been equally successful winning the MSF state tournament in 2006 and finishing 25th out of 154 teams at the ASA 18U A Nationals in Owensboro, Kentucky. In the summer of 2008, Sean's and Steve's Snedeckers Elite team was the runner up at the ASA National Championship. In 2008, Sean was named Commissioner of the MMFL Gold Select League. He continues to coach at North High School and also serves as President of the Minnesota Sting.
STING ELITE

Mark was a head coach for the North Polars traveling fastpitch program for four years and has coached Sting 93 for the past 3 and a half years. His Sting 93 team was the first true all 13U club team playing 16U in the state of Minnesota.
Mark's teams appeared in five straight class A state championship games, winning two of them, and have finished first in Tri-County league play four straight years. Two years ago his 14u team finished 3rd in the 16 elite state tournament. At Nationals, his teams have finished 4th, 13th twice and 2008 NAFA 14u nationals champs. Last fall his 16U Sting 93 team placed 5th at the 18A MMFL state tournament and won the prestigious Labor Day Classic Tournament the last 2 years at 14u&17u in Grinnell, Iowa. In 2009 the Sting 93 team played 84 games ending with a record of 67-14-3 while playing most of its games up at the 18u elite level and finishing in 2nd place in the state 18u elite tournament.

STING 95

Rob brought his experience as a coach for the Shakopee fastpitch program with him to help found the Sting 93 team in August of 2006. Rob is an outstanding teacher with excellent knowledge of the game. His efforts have been essential to the success of Sting 93. Coach Walker has also been named the head coach of the Sting 95 team which will begin play in August 2008. Rob's team at Shakopee won the MSF 2006 State Tournament.
STING 96

Steve has coached over sixty sports teams in the past 25 years. He’s been the varsity softball coach at Bethany Academy in Bloomington for the past four years and was Bethany’s JV coach for three years prior to that. Snedecker has also been coaching with the Minnesota Sting since its inception in 2006 and is the Assistant Coach for the Sting Elite team. Steve and Sean finished 2nd at the ASA Nationals in 2008.
As the Off-Season Coordinator, Steve is responsible for creating year-around opportunities for Sting players to improve their game. Steve also focuses on getting Sting players national exposure to college recruiters. Steve’s coaching philosophy is to always make it fun, and to take each athlete to a higher level of play.
