OXHOOPS ANGELS 55 vs 10 FARINGDON
OXHOOPS ANGELS 72 vs 25 Abingdon Eagles

Game Review for Saturday 14th November 2009

Game 1: Oxford Angels vs Wantage and Faringdon

Angels got off to a strong start scoring freely from inside the key. There was some good screening and powerful driving to the basket. As well as good offence, the defence was strong with solid rebounding. With only five players the Angels worked hard to establish a 24 - 6 half time lead. In the second half, Harry, Ashley and Amir continued scoring freely with good support from Jasper and James. Amir controlled the offence with strong drives from Harry and Ashley. James took some offensive rebounds and scored with the second shot. As the half went on, Angels used the fast break effectively with a big outside shot scoring on the final buzzer. The final score was 55 - 10 to the Angels.

Game 2: Oxford Angels vs Brookes Eagles

Brookes Eagles had eight players playing against the Angel’s five. However, from strong defence and organised offence, the Angels quickly took a 30 - 10 lead. They continued to keep the pressure on and by halftime were 40 - 12 up. In the second half, the Angels continued to apply pressure, and bearing in mind they had no substitutes, were able to keep up the intensity in their play. The final score was 72 - 25 to the Angles.

These performances most significantly raised a smile on the coaches faces who could see the result of their hard work. Thanks to both of them.
