Twin Cities Goodtime Softball League Hall of Fame
The TCGSL Hall of Fame was founded in 2004 by the TCGSL Executive Board with the focus of recognizing past and present league members who have made a significant contribution to the development and lasting success of one of the largest gay softball leagues in the nation. Over the past three decades, TCGSL has grown from a small group of gay ball players challenging the Minneapolis Police on the softball diamond to an organization of well over 600 players enjoying a fun, competitive time on the field each weekend and an annual tournament attended by teams from across the country.
To be considered for induction to the TCGSL Hall of Fame, nominees must have been associated with the league as a player, sponsor, fan, or other supporter for at least seven years. Nominations must be submitted in writing by a current league member and should include a brief description of the nominee's contributions to the league that justify their induction into the Hall of Fame. Nominations will be shared with the league and may be posted on this web site. Decisions on nominees will be made by a panel of current Hall of Fame inductees each season. New inductees will be announced at the annual awards banquet at the end of each season.
Hall of Fame Nominations
The TCGSL Hall of Fame is in it's sixth season and is seeking nominations for 2012 inductees. Any player, fan, sponsor, or other person affiliated with the league for at least seven years is eligible for nomination, but your nomination is due now for consideration in 2012! Check out the Hall of Fame information and nomination forms - all available online.
The Hall of Fame Booster Club is also seeking donations to help sustain and promote the Hall of Fame recognition program. The Hall of Fame is intended to be a self-supporting operation within the league to recognize the players, fans, league leaders, and others who have made TCGSL one of the greatest, and one of the largest, gay softball leagues in the US!
