WHO WE ARE

Sylvan Hills Sherwood Optimist Club (SHSOC) is a non-profit organization established in the 1950's. We operate as a volunteer group to provide youth baseball and softball for kids ages 4-16 in Sherwood, AR. The Board of Directors oversees the operations and management of the program. The Board of Directors is elected every year and supported by the general members of the Optimist Club and others in the community. If you are interested in joining the Optimist Club, please contact the club at 501-835-5583 or join online under the PLAYER REGISTRATION tab.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that is the right of every child to have the opportunity to play baseball and softball. The program is designed around the principles of participation for all players. We want to teach our young men and women to be great people and contributors to society while learning and enjoying the games of Baseball and Softball.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

SHSOC provides a youth baseball and softball program for kids ages4-16. We are affiliated with BabeRuth Baseball, Cal Ripken Baseball and USSSA Softball. We play a 15-20 game season with an after season all-star program designed to allow those more advanced players to compete at a higher level and experience the joys of playing for a District, State, Regional, Country or World Championship.
