Local Cheerleaders are Pro Bowl Bound
An invitation to the National Football League Pro Bowl in Hawaii in 2011 has been extended to 6 cheerleaders of the Coastal Xtreme All Stars. These girls were selected to receive the honor of becoming an all American Cheerleader by a group of judges at the Maryland State Championships. The event is part of a national scholarship invitational and performance tour for outstanding cheerleaders put together by All American Cheer and Dance, a national organization in which cheerleaders compete across the county in cheer and dance routines. The cheerleaders will perform a dance routine during half time of the Pro Bowl along with nearly 3,000 additional cheerleaders from across the country. Participants are Elessa Moore, Morgan Davis, Sabrina Brown, Stacey Foskey, Abbie Roglitz and Megan DeFelice. These girls range in age from 9 to 14 and have been cheering for many years. They are excellent students and also participate in many community service projects. This wonderful opportunity is a reward for all their dedication, hard work and loyalty, but this "once-in-a-lifetime experience" will be very costly. The parents and cheerleaders will be coordinating fundraisers throughout the year in order to reach this goal. Want to help this great group of girls? Send us an email for more information.
