A tribute to a great guy, Kevin White (he's not dead, he just moved)
Kevin White, what a guy, it's a shame that he's moving away, even though he'll still be in Hurricane, he might as well be a million miles away. Who knows, maybe he'll come back & play a few more games. Weather or not if he'll make it to the championship (Game 1) or not remains a mystery, but we'll find out soon enough.
Kevin White was one of the legendary players back in the day, before the league was in existense, back before we were kids, back when the sun shined in our faces brightly, back when playing a little game with a plastic bat & ball was more fun that playing video games, & back when gas was about $1.06 a gallon! Kevin never really took the game seriously, he always had fun with it, ALWAYS. As we got older, he started to play less & less, but still played. During those less & less times, the league was developed & Kev didn't know about the league's existence for months. It's a shame that he wasn't a founder, but if you look at it technically, he was. He was there way before some of the players were, way back when Jenetta was still babysitting.
Kevin was & still is one of the best whiffleball players to ever play the game, & anyone who ever watched him play would agree. Not only was he good, but he added humor & fun to the game that will be missing when he disappears. The league will continue, but it won't be the same without him, he will be missed. For those of you who didn't get to know him, it's a shame, he was one of the most talented, funny, & focussed people I have ever met. At the end of the year one of the awards we're giving out is "the most fun player to watch award" & we're dropping that title & it will now be called "The Kevin White Award."
Later on we'll have comments inserted from other players in the league about his soon coming absence from the game.

He had the ability to be the best, but decided to keep it simple & fun not only for his sake, but for everyone's. "I think he is one of the best players ever been here but he had to move away 2 months into the wiffleball season. Hopefully he will come back one of these days & try to play another game with the Green Bears & the Vipers. He was one of the funniest players in the league. If we had an award for funniest player of the year, then he would've gotten it. We will miss him & I hope he will come back & play a game with us someday."
