Haverford Township Little League established a MACHINE PITCH Baseball League in 2008 for 7 and 8 year old players (Rookie League).
The new league features instruction in basic baseball skills and offers between 12-14 scheduled games from mid-April to early June.
The League is open to all children residing within HTLL boundaries (most of Haverford Twp.) age 7 or 8 as of May 1, 2010. The league fee includes uniforms and the opportunity to learn baseball at the only official Little League in Haverford Township.
There will be a limited number of 8 year olds that have skills advanced enough to play up in the Minor League. This determination is made by the Minor League coaches as part of Player Evaluation Day held in March.
