University of Oregon's 2009: A midweek starter and reliever for Oregon...also made three Sunday starts for the Ducks...finished the year with an 0-6 record and a 5.15 ERA in 15 appearances and six starts...tossed a total of 43 and 2/3 innings, recording 24 strikeouts and holding batters to a .252 average...with two outs, held opponents to a meager .104 (5-for-48) clip...in his last start of the season, tossed his first complete game of the year, surrendering just two runs on four hits while striking out a career-high six in a 2-0 loss at Oregon State (5/19)...made his first start of the season at Washington (3/4)...in his second career start, tossed three innings of one-run baseball, helping lead Oregon to a 6-4 victory over Sacramento State (3/25)...in his best relief outing of the season, tossed the final 4 and 1/3 innings against Oregon State (3/29), holding the Beavers scoreless on three base runners...made his first weekend start at USC (4/11)...also made Sunday starts at California (4/19) and vs. Washington (4/24).

He was also a team captain in 2008 and was named the team's most inspirational player that season. Yanzick earned three letters in baseball, playing primarily shortstop. He was also selected to the Baseball Northwest World Wood Bat Team that competed in Jupiter, Fla.

University of Washington 2007: Played at the University of Washington during the 2006 and 2007 seasons...during his time with the Huskies made 17 appearances and three starts, pitching a total of 36.2 innings...finished with a 2-1 record and 27 strikeouts...during the summer of 2008 played for the Corvallis Knights of the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League...helped the Knights to the WCCBL title...pitched 20.2 innings in 19 appearances, maintaining a 1.74 ERA...had a 1-1 record with two saves while striking out 28 and holding opposing batters to a .174 average.
University of Washington 2006: Appeared in four games, one as a starter and three in relief ... got the start March 1 at Hawaii Pacific, picking up the win with a solid five-inning performance: 5.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 Ks ... March 19 at Cal Poly, allowed two hits, but no runs, while fanning two in an inning of work ... also pitched vs. Cal State Northridge (Feb. 20) and Santa Clara (March 11) ... played summer ball for the Aloha (Ore.) Knights .... went 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA over 51 innings of work.
