The Rules of the Property Little Ebbets Field:

1) No Smoking on or around the field

2) Control your emotions as much as possible

3) Leave only your foot prints when you leave the field and property

4) Go over all rules before the game, agree and play by them.

5) There are no bathrooms

For the Game:

Pitching:

Medium speed 30-35MPH Max: 5 Balls is a walk, 2 strikes is a out. Same rules as baseball, tip a pitch with one strike into the K box your out. No scuffed or personal balls allowed. Radar gun in use.
If your hands or any part of your body extend into the strike zone area (The white lined area) and the ball hits you it is a strike. Any attempt to touch a ball or bend into the strike zone is a strike. If you crowd the plate and ball hits you it will be called a strike, there is no body armor in Wiffle Ball and this call is 100% at the pitchers discretion.

The Rubber is 40 feet from the batters box and 45 feet from K box.

Fair and foul:
The grass inside base paths are the fair foul line. Batter calls fair and foul balls and pitcher calls check swings.

Outs:
Balls caught in Air are outs. You may make a double play if you catch the ball at the pitchers mound or behind it and hit the K box with the ball. If batter interfers in anyway it is a double play.

Balls maybe be boubled or caught against your body. As long as they do not hit the ground.

Ground balls may be turned into Double Plays, if caught between the single lines 35 and 55 feet and ball is thrown within one step and hits the strike box. A runner is eliminated in this case.

Singles:
Ground balls not fielded at the 55 foot single line. A ball hit in air not caught landing between single line and the wall.

Doubles:
Ball off Wooden Wall

Triple:
Ball hit into netting/fenced area in right field

Homerun:
Over the Fence in fair territory

Running the base's:
We dont run the base's. We use automatic runners and runners run as in baseball. They advance as many base's as the batter.

Pitchers may pitch 1 six inning game per day in league play. They may continue into extra innings in a game they start.

STATS:
Iis a teams responsability to report stats. The key ones we want: Wins, loses, homeruns and rbi your choice on the rest.

Kid Rule or non players rule:

Ebbets is open to all players. Good, bad, fast, slow but if your a non player or child you can play on a team and bat but the hits or outs do not count. This way everyone gets to enjoy a wonderful day at the ball park. There are few things worse than not being able to play.
