    Thai World Hockey League Rules

All games will be played under the Thai World Hockey League committee’s rules and regulations

    Rules and Regulations
·Fighting Zero Tolerance: If fighting occurs automatic game ejection and up to a 3 game suspension.
·The Thai Hockey League reserves the right to impose any additional consequences that are in the best interest and integrity of the league
    ·All games are non-check
·The team Captain must have a letter “C” on front of his jersey and is solely responsible to make sure all of his players are on the official roster. Any violations will result in game forfeits. The team Captain is also the only person allowed to speak with the referees; any abusive language or offense behavior towards the referees will result in suspensions. (Will be enforced 2007-2008 Season)
·Minor penalties are 3:00. Major penalties are 6:00 plus a game misconduct. Also all major penalties will result up to a three game suspension. All major penalties will be recorded in the official records as ten penalty minutes. The league total before a one game suspension is thirty-three total penalty minutes.

01- Only eligible players will be typed on the score sheets and all players must sign in 10 minutes before game time to the designated folder at the scorer’s desk. Team captains will help assist making sure everyone signs in. All players should have proper photo identification in the event of a challenge of eligibility by an opposing team. Any player that allows an ineligible player to skate will forfeit that game. Two occurrences during a season will result in the team forfeiting its rights to be eligible for playoffs. However if a team is lacking players (less than 6)  there will be an option between captains if both agree to add players from other teams to the game as a scrimmage and the game will count as a forfeit. Only one referee is required to stay to officiate and monitor any scrimmage game. Any team that accumulates three forfeits in a regular season will be under strict review for the upcoming season. The Thai World Hockey League reserves the right to drop any player or team for the upcoming season due to attendance.
02- Teams will have a roster of 15 skaters and a goalie. Each team will be allowed subs with approval from TWHL commish. If an emergency arises and a team is lacking players the Thai World League will designate more players to fill the teams needs.
03- After rosters are frozen at the midway point of the season however after the season starts we will allow a few exceptions. If a player is injured, sickness occurs, or an emergency situation arises and the player cannot continue play during the remainder of the season, the player may be dropped from the roster. A new player or from leagues sub list may be added with the understanding the new player has equal or less of injurer’s players point status. Once a player is dropped he/she is not allowed to return for the remainder of the season.  In addition we will allow in some instances for new players to join after the deadline if all teams agree.
04- Thai World Hockey plays blue line icing. No offsides for two line passes. We will use delayed offsides; if the puck is dumped in and offside, as long as the respective team’s players come out of the zone without touching the puck, they may re-enter the offensive zone only after their last player comes out.
05- Games will be three 17 minute periods, 1 minute intermission and 1 minute stop time at the end of game if there is a two goal difference. Note if games goes into OT in League play no intermission due to time constraints
06- If an injury is a game stopping injury the following will apply. If EMT’s are needed to remove the player from the ice, the play stops until the player is removed. If the first period has not ended and the allotted game time expires the game will end in a tie. If the injury occurs during the second period and time expires the team winning at the time of the injury receives two points. If it is a one-goal game the losing team will get a courtesy point. No shutout points will be allowed for partial games. All stats at the end of the game are considered official. No exceptions will be made in this case and all results are final. There will be no make up games.
07- Accumulation of thirty-two penalty minutes in the regular season will result in a game suspension. An accumulation of 40 penalty minutes in the regular season will result in an additional 3 game suspension. In addition if a player gets three penalties in one game an automatic one game suspension is issued and game ejection. Note a player who goes over the 32 penalty minute limit during the last game will still BE ELGIBLE for the playoffs unless he gets a major penalty or accumulates three penalties in the last game. During the playoffs each player will start fresh with penalty minutes. If a player accumulates more than 10 minutes or three penalties in the first playoff game they will automatically be suspended for the next game.
08- A fighting penalty can be up to a  three game suspension. Two fighting penalties in one season are cause for immediate expulsion from the league. Any penalty as seen as intent to injure will also result in league expulsion. All suspensions will carry over the next season. All major penalties will result in a 6-minute penalty and a ten-minute game misconduct. If a player draws blood due to an accident caused by high stick or any other body part an automatic ejection and a 6-minute penalty will be issued. Note all accidental penalties will not result in a one game suspension and a game ejection and 6 minute penalty. Retaliatory penalties and fighting will not be tolerated.
09- Game suspensions are served with the respective team. All suspensions begin and are carried through the next regularly scheduled games or season. Players and captains are ultimately responsible for all player suspension. All suspensions continued until served.
