Fields must be lined weekly RAIN or SHINE, so plan accordingly.
FIRST GAME OF THE DAY: Verify the field has been lined recently, if not line the field. Check goals to be sure securely anchored to ground with weights or steel pins and the nets are in playable condition, place corner flags and or set up the small removable goals, (U6 and U7).
Repainting the lines can take up to an hour from set up to clean up. Repainting can take place on Thursday, Friday or Saturday Morning up to the 1st game of the day.
LAST GAME OF THE DAY: Put away all corner flags and small removable goals. Pick up all trash and put in trash can, recycle can or dumpster. If there is not a trash receptacle at your field site, please take it with you. You can throw it away in the dumpster at IPW.
Make sure the IPW shed is locked, including the garage doors and all work boxes at other sites are shut and locked. Put empty cans in dumpster.
Equipment:
Keys for the remote lock boxes will be provided to the teams via your coordinator.
The IPW shed is the main hub for all equipment. That is where I restock from. Please discard all trash and empty paint cans in the dumpster at IPW. If you need paint for Meyer Way, please take it from the Turk Shed.
Specific sites:
IPW--all paint, line machines, plastic ties for net repair, corner flags and the U5/U6/U7 removable goals are in the shed. U5/U6/U7 use cones for the corners. If you notice something unsafe or in need of repair please notify the club immediately.
Do not move permanent goals at any site.
Warrington Fellowship Church -- U8 Girls A line painter, paint, goals and ties for net repair are located in the job box behind the shed which belongs to the church. Use cones for the corners.
Jamison Elementary--U8 Boys There is not a lock box or place to store anything on site. You will need to obtain a line painter and paint from the IPW shed. The handle pulls out of the base by lifting the arm for easier transportation. One case of paint per field is sufficient. Plan accordingly to allow yourself time before games begin. Please return the equipment to IPW when finished.
Turk Field --Travel: All the equipment and supplies are in the shed. Please see the “Travel” section of our web site for Travel field lining schedules.
Meyer Way -- Travel: There 2 lock boxes, “Brown” located in front of the Warwick Maint. Shed behind the hockey rink. Keys are available from your Coach or the club. If you see the paint supply is low, please feel free to re-stock it from the Turk storage shed, not IPW, thank-you.
Useful Info:
We are not permitted to have toilet facilities at Tamanend, Jamison, Kutz or the Warrington Fellowship Church because it is a school site and or private property, so plan accordingly. There are gas stations at the corners near all the fields.
There are public restrooms at IPW. Please keep them clean and in good condition.
At WF Church, there are facilities in the church if it is unlocked. Please be kind as we are guests there. Also, children are not permitted to play in the playground. The church does not, nor does the club carry the insurances for this. This is a private site that they graciously let us use. In return they ask only that we keep it clean and stay off the playground equipment.
Sometimes Tamanend and Kutz are open on Saturdays, but we must be careful not make a mess, like on rainy days. Common sense is all we need. We had some complaints in the past years at Tamanend about mud in the school.
The Parks and Rec. Dept. have placed blue recycle containers around IPW. Please use them for plastic and cans, (not paint cans), instead of the trash cans and dumpster.
All Sites: No parking on any grass areas and park in designated areas only. Do not drop off players or equipment along Bradley Road at IPW, EVEN IF IT IS RAINING.
Just remember, we are guests at all our sites.
