Pop Warner Announces its Annual All-American Scholar Athletes for 2009
Pop Warner is the largest and oldest youth sports program in the country. And, it is the only youth sports organization that requires its participants to perform well in the classroom, as well as out on the football field. Pop Warner mandates that players and cheerleaders maintain positive grades during the school year, and rewards its highest performing athletes every year.
National Pop Warner recently selected its All-American Scholar recipients for the 2008 season, recognizing participants with the top grade point averages and extracurricular commitments across the entire country. Pop Warner's local chapter, the Watertown Belmont Bulldogs, not only experienced unprecedented success on the field, winning the Eastern Mass Championships in football and cheering, but also generated scholar athletes who achieved Second Team All-America Scholar status. These student athletes' achieved grade point averages that fall within the top 2% of all the kids across all of Pop Warner in America. This is the first time the program has produced second team All-Americans.
The WB Bulldogs Pop Warner community would like to congratulate the following All-America Scholar Athletes:
