TEE BALL DIVISION
Tee Ball division consists of 4 year olds and some 5 year olds who are playing for the first time. Tee ball introduces players to the "team" concept. The emphasis is strictly on having fun while grasping the basic fundamentals of the game
ROOKIE DIVISION
The Rookie Division consists of 6 year olds, 5 year olds, and on a highly limited basis 4 year olds. 4 year olds will be selected through a thorough skills evaluation try out. The first half of the Rookie season is coach pitch and the second half is machine pitch. In the Rookie league, players are introduced to a "structured" game with outs recorded. Scores are not kept and there is no playoff system. The emphasis is on continuing the early stages of baseball fundamentals and development
MINORS – EASTERN LEAGUE
The EASTERN LEAGUE consists of 8 year olds, 7 year olds, and on a highly limited basis, 6 year olds. 6 year olds will be selected through a thorough skills evaluation tryout. The Eastern League introduces competition while still giving players the opportunity to play all positions. Games are played with machine pitch for the first half of the game and “kid pitch” for the second half. Records are not kept during the regular season, but a postseason playoff tournament is held to determine the league champion. The emphasis is on fundamentals while getting the player ready for little league rules in the International league.
MINORS – INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE
The INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE consists of 10 year olds, 9 year olds, and on a highly limited basis, 8 year olds. 8 year olds will be selected through a thorough skills evaluation tryout. The minors division is played with LITTLE LEAGUE rules concerning base-running and pitching (unlimited steals, pitch counts, etc) Emphasis is on having fun and mastering more advanced fundamentals and developing a deeper understanding of the game . Scores and standings are kept and a single-elimination postseason tournament will determine the International League champion.
MAJORS – NATIONAL
Majors-National consists of 11 year olds, select 10 year olds, and on a highly limited basis, 9 year olds. 12 year olds may play in the National League by request. 11s and 10s will be chosen via a try out designed to thoroughly evaluate skills. Emphasis will be placed on having fun and continued development of advanced baseball skills. Scores and standings are kept and the season ends with a playoff champion crowned.
MAJORS – AMERICAN
Majors-American is a very competitive league consisting of 12 year olds, select 11 year olds, and on a highly limited basis, 10 year olds. 11s and 10s will be chosen via a tryout designed to thoroughly evaluate skills. In addition, parents must sign a commitment consent form. While having fun is always the cornerstone of WTB baseball, emphasis will be on learning to play and succeed in a highly competitive atmosphere. Scores and standings are kept and the season ends with a playoff champion crowned.
