About Mount Vernon Youth Baseball & Softball

Our mission is to provide facilities and the opportunity for the youth of Mt. Vernon to play baseball/softball in an organized league, promoting sportsmanship, knowledge, competition and physical abilities in an instructive, participative and pleasant atmosphere while enjoying the game.

We are a non-profit organization run by dedicated volunteers. All money generated by MVYB&S goes back into running the MVYB&S programs. The City of Mount Vernon-Black Township Parks and Recreation Department has had an agreement with MVYB&S to run the program and maintain the Brittlebank BallPark since 1987.
