WHY CHOOSE WEST?

Many programs focus only on winning and teaching young athletes to become bigger, faster, stronger players. While we do not neglect teaching these traits, at West Youth Football we realize they are merely a by product of what we strive to instill in every young athlete we are fortunate enough to work with. A youth football coach has the potential to become a very influential person in your child's life. Football is simply the tool we use to teach these young men important life lessons that will be with them long after their playing days are over.

West Youth Football was established  in 2006 as a feeder program for West High School.   We serve the area defined by the West High school zone.  At West Youth, our coaches are some of the very best in the metro league, working closely with the West High varsity staff. We teach the same offense, defense, and terminology as the high school team. West Youth Football is a proud member of the Knox Metro Youth Football League. Although we are only a 12 year old program, we are already considered to be one of the top youth programs in Knox county.  Many of the players on the 2014 Class 5A State Championship team were themselves West Youth Players.  Those results prove that the West Youth Football program is achieving what it has set out to do over the past 12 years.

As we prepare to enter the 2018 season, we remain focused on our program objectives, to inspire, educate and motivate young football players. Our goal is to produce solid young men who are leaders off the field first. Our next goal is to produce fundamentally sound football players.  If you want your child to be involved with highly skilled and motivated coaches, learn good football  fundamentals, all in a safety conscious environment, then West Youth is the program for you.  We hope that you will make the decision to become part of the West Youth family!
