Tumbling Classes
ACA Class Policies
Aerials Cheer Academy Policies and Prices
Registration
To enroll for classes, please consult with a staff member at the academy about the class in which you are interested. Then, bring or mail to the academy a completed Registration form and the appropriate registration fee (see below).
Registration Fee
This fee is non-refundable and covers the costs of opening and maintaining your account for the year. Fee covers from when the student starts instruction until Sept. 1st of each year.
First child – $25/month
Each additional child – $15
Tuition
Fees are due at the first of each month and considered late after the 5th. Failure to pay on time will result in a $15.00 late fee, for which you will be billed. Tuition is paid by the calendar month. If you start before the 15th, a full month is due; after the 15th, half a month. An academy month is 3 - 5 weeks. Because of holidays, some months are shorter. However, we do not charge you extra for long months.
First 1 hour class: $25/month or $
Each additional 1 hour class: $15/month

A $5.00 discount per month, per child is applied to the tuition for a second or third child. Payments may be made by cash, check, or money order. NSF fee is $35 per occurrence. After two occurrences, payment will only be accepted by cash or money order. Payments are to be made at the academy or mailed to ACA PO Box 65 Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895. We do not accept mail at the street address.
Attendance
Your child is expected to attend his/her assigned class. If you miss class, make-ups are allowed, but you must call the office to schedule which class to attend. It is important to notify the office if your child will not be able to continue in a class. We consider them enrolled until you notify us of any changes in writing. We must bill your account, as many of our classes are filled and have waiting lists. Your child's spot in class is reserved until we are notified.

Hot Tots Tumbling- ages 3-5: Tuesdays 6pm-7pm
This class is a great way to learn a strong tumbling foundation. This class introduces students to basic gymnastic and cheer terms and skills such as the forward and backward roll, handstand, bridge, cartwheel, round-off, and back handspring drills. Participants will successfully master the cartwheel, round off, handstand, and back bend. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader.
Tumbling Level 1- ages 6 & up: Tuesdays 7pm-8pm, Thursdays 4:30pm-5:30pm
This class is designed to introduce cheerleading tumbling to students. Participants will successfully master the cartwheel, round off, handstand, and back bend. Emphasis is placed on tumbling skills such as back handsprings, round-offs and cartwheels. Students participate in jump and motion training and several different strength drills that accelerate the learning of tumbling skills. Those interested need no prior training or experience to participate in this class.
Tumbling Level 2- ages 8 & up: Tuesdays 5pm-6pm, Thursdays 7pm-8pm
This class is for students who have a basic knowledge of cheerleading tumbling. Students participating in this class must already be able to perform a standing back handspring and round-off back handspring with a light spot. Students will successfully master the round-off back handspring, a series of standing back handsprings and series of round off back handsprings, and a front tumbling pass. Each athlete will begin an introduction to back handspring step-outs and connecting passes.
Tumbling Level 3- ages 8 & up: Mondays 5pm-6:30pm
For students who want to go beyond the round off back handspring and standing back handspring, tumbling three is a great way to learn your back tuck. Participants will successfully master the round off back handspring back tuck, a series of standing back handsprings, a round off tuck, and a front handspring. The athlete will begin an introduction to the standing tuck and standing back handspring tuck, front tuck, and aerial.
Tumbling Level 4- ages 10& up: Mondays 5pm-6:30pm
For more advanced cheerleaders with solid tumbling skills.
This class is for more advanced cheerleaders with a solid tumbling background. The athlete will successfully master the round off back handspring layout/full, a series of standing back handsprings and tuck/layout, and standing back tuck, and front tumbling passes. They athlete will be introduced to layout step outs and tuck open passes.
Back Handspring Class: Mondays: 7pm-7:30pm
Highly focused class to help you achieve the perfect back handspring.
This class is designed to help a student focus solely on achieving a solid back handspring. Participants will successfully master the cartwheel, round off, handstand, and backbend. The athlete will be introduced to the back handspring and master the skill.
Back Tuck Class: Mondays 6:30pm-7pm
Focused solely on achieving a solid back tuck.
This class is designed to help a student focus solely on achieving a solid back tuck. Participants focus on drills and exercises related to back tucks. Students participating in this class must already be able to perform a standing back handspring and a round back handspring.
