    2009 YOUTH INDOOR SOCCER INFORMATION SHEET

    MATCHES AND AGE GROUPS
    A. AGE GROUPS:
    U11 cannot turn 11 before October 15 and must turn 8 by the October 15 of current year
    U14 cannot turn 14 before October 15th or current year

    B: MATCHES:
    1. U11 Two 18-minute halves indoor ball 5v5
    2. U14 Two 18-minute halves indoor ball 5v5

    DRAFT
    A. For the purpose of being fair to all participants and coaches, all players in their assigned age group will go through a draft. The organization meeting/practice will be held at the Belmont Middle School Gym as follows: Saturday October 31: U11 at 9am and U14 at 11am.
    B. There will be a COACHES ONLY meeting on Thursday October 29 at 7pm at the Recreation Dept.
    C. Indoor soccer will have a blind draft at the coaches meeting. Players will be drawn out based on their league age.
    D. Exemption(s): Carpooling exemptions are not allowed.
    1. Head coach son/daughter.
    2. Sibling(s)
    3. Relative that is the reason a coach is coaching (ex. An uncle is coaching for his nephew)

    PLAYER EQUIPMENT
    A. A player shall not wear anything that is dangerous to another player. (Ex. Unpadded wrist cast, watches, earrings, etc.)
    B. The players may wear non marking sneakers or basketball shoes.
    C. Shin guards are mandatory.

    PRACTICES/GAMES
    A. The will be one practice on Saturday October 31.
    B. Soccer games shall begin the week of November 1 for all ages and end approx. late November.
    C. Games may be played on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Makeup games will be made up as soon as possible and could possibly be any day of the week.
    D. Games will be played at the Belmont Middle School and Tuckaseege Gym in Mt Holly.

    FEES
    A. The registration fee is $35 in city and $60 out of city per player and it covers the players’ shirt, shorts, socks, trophies, banquet, officials, equipment, gym usage and any maintenance. The fee does not include shoes or shin guards.
    B. No refund will be given after the registration date has expired. If a player drops after this point the uniform, trophy, and banquet will be forfeited.

    Please help us keep the facilities clean by picking up trash after the practices and games.
