As the ex-president of a club on LI, who has over the years had to run a tournament, I appreciate the work that goes into all aspects of putting on a tournament. I especially enjoyed the fact that the competition seemed (for the most part) to have been well paired, making for a lot of good matches (not an easy task when you've got teams from "all over" coming down!!).
As a parent, I would like to congratulate you and your team on an excellent job in planning, communication and execution of your event. Perfect? No, but one of the best tournament experiences that I have experienced through many Memorial Day experiences with my three kids.
Again, my "hat's off" to you. My home club generally plans a Memorial Day event for our club (trying to get many teams together to go to a tournament), and I will be submitting your tournament for consideration next year.
