    Pirates defeat Jackmove in four games to win CCWA World Series
    July 2, 2006  --   The Suckerpunch Pirates of the American League defeated Jackmove of the National League in the CCWA World Series three games to one.
    In game one TJ McNeely hit three homeruns and Andy Toll and Nate Bullock each hit one homerun to lead the Pirates to a 9 - 2 victory. Nate Bullock pitched for the Pirates, earning the win. Gerald Allen took the loss for Jackmove.

    In game two the Pirates took an early lead and were able to hang on behind TJ McNeely's pitching. Zac Warren homered for Jackmove but took the loss on the mound. TJ hit two homeruns to help his cause and Nate Bullock also homered for the Pirates. The Pirates won 13 - 3 in five innings to take a two game to zero lead.

    Game three saw the Jackmove bats come alive. Matt Jones pitched a great game for Jackmove holding the Pirates to one run. Andy Toll took the loss for the Pirates. Matt Jones and Dusty Kirk each hit three-run homeruns to lead Jackmove to a 7 - 1 victory. The Pirates led the series 2 games to 1 after three games.

    In game four Dez LaFountain slammed the door for the Pirates. Gerald Allen took the loss for Jackmove. The eight runs scored in the third inning would prove the difference as the Suckerpunch Pirates won 8 - 0 for their first CCWA title.
    TJ McNeely of the Pirates was voted the Most Valuable Player of the World Series.
