The Western New York Pop Warner Little Scholars Football and Cheerleading League is part of the Pop Warner Eastern Region which is made up of teams from NY, Pennsylvania, NJ, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C.  Eastern Region Pop Warner is part of the National Pop Warner League which is made up of 8 regions.  The following 8 regions make up the National Pop Warner League.

                                   5.      Mid-American Region
                                   6.      Mid-South Region 
                                   7.      Eastern Region

 General Information

The Chili Lions start practice on the first Monday in August for both Football and Cheerleading.  For the month of August all practices are held at Davis Park on Monday through Thursday of each week from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM.   

After Labor Day football practices move to Memorial Park and will held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday mornings from 9:30 AM until 12:00 PM.  After Labor Day cheerleading practices will be held at the same times except their practices will be indoors at the Total Sports Experience (TSE) in Gates on 880 Elmgrove Rd.

All Chili Lions home regular season football games are played at Memorial Park on Sundays.  All Chili Lions away football games are at the discretion of the home team and possibly could be played on Saturday.  A game schedule will be distributed in August upon approval from the WNY Pop Warner League.

All Chili Lions Football and Cheerleading teams are at a competitive level which requires post season play except the Mitey Mite division which is an instructional level only and does not have post season play.  Post season play may include travel outside of the Rochester area and may include travel outside the state of NY, possibly including overnight trips.  Regional post season play runs all the way through the weekend after Thanksgiving for Regional Championships and the National Championships are held the first week of December in Orlando, FL.

The following is the age and weight schematic for Pop Warner Football and the divisions offered by the Chili Lions. 

All ages are the age of the participant as of July 31.

The following equipment will be issued to each participant and is the property of the Chili Lions and will be returned to the organization at the conclusion of the season. 

The following equipment will be issued by the Chili Lions and does not need to be turned back in at the completion of the season.

Cheerleading General Information

The following is the age schematic for Pop Warner Cheerleading and the cheerleading divisions offered by the Chili Lions. 

All ages are the age of the participant as of July 31.
