    Niagara University Purple Eagles
Contact for this Tournament: Head Coach Chris Chernisky, Assistant Coach Rob McCoy.
A total of 14 players have earned All-MAAC first- or second-team honors under the guidance of Chernisky, while 35 players have received all-academic honors. During the 2007-08 school year, the baseball program earned two Academic Progress Rate (APR) Public Recognition Awards from the NCAA, one of only two teams at Niagara to earn the prestigious honor.
Four players have earned Academic All-District accolades from CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine during Chernisky’s time at Niagara. Five players were drafted professionally and two Niagara Male Student-Athlete of the Year award winners have come from Chernisky’s baseball squad (Reed Eastley-2005, and Andrew MacNevin-2006). The team has boasted a 3.0 grade-point average every semester under Chernisky’s guidance.
During Chernisky’s 14 seasons as a coach, he has recruited, developed and coached 27 players who have moved on to play professionally.

    SUNY Niagara (NCCC) Trailblazers
    Contact: Head Coach Matt Clingersmith
SUNY Niagara is the defending WNYAC Champions after its Fall Season. "Matt Clingersmith, a Niagara Falls native who pitched at Canisius College, has turned around the NCCC baseball program in less than two years, winning a regional championship last spring and a conference championship this fall." (Lockport Union-Sun & Journal Oct. 15 2008). “We always thought we would hire a full-time baseball coach,” AD Lee Wallace said. “The reason being: we have a fall season and a spring season, and the margin of off time in the middle has been slim.
“And then, with what Matt has done and the amount of publicity he’s brought us, that only solidifies our belief.”

State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) Bulls
The UB Bulls are a Division 1 Team out of the Metro Atlantic Conference. The Contact Person for this program is Assistant Coach Devin McIntosh.

    Canisius College (Buffalo) Golden Griffins
    Contact: Head Coach Mike McRae
Mike McRae begins his fourth season as the head coach of the Canisius College baseball program. He led the Golden Griffins to a breakout season in 2007 as Canisius made its first MAAC playoff appearance since 1994 and the second in school history.
Under McRae’s guidance, Canisius’ team batting average and ERA has improved each season. The Griffs have made three-straight appearances in the Big 4 Baseball Classic championship game and won the tournament the last two years. The future looks bright as well.

    SUNY Erie (ECC) Kats
    Contact: Head Coach Joe Bauth
Joe Bauth enters his 18th season as the Kats Head Coach, which makes him the most senior coach in the athletic department. Another winning campaign last year made it 16 straight Regional berths for the team. Bauth enters the season with a 623-327-2 record. His coaching record puts him number one in school history in wins.
Coach Bauth takes the most pride from the numbers of players that have gone on to play at four-year schools on scholarship. He also has logged countless semesters which his entire team averaged over 3.0 GPA, which helps recruit players to his program. Four of Coach Bauth's players have gone on to play professional baseball, Joe Mamott, Tony Stutz, Rob Vogtli, and Anthony Kirbis in 2006. Kirbis was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and is presently playing in their system.
