Thank you to all of the players, coaches, parents, extended family and friends for a terrific second Mavericks Baseball season. Our second season, 10U AAA-American-Elite, record was 32-28-1, including one first place award and two second place awards. The boys faced some tough compitition this season moving up a division and ending up playing in several tournaments that saw them facing teams one division higher.

1st Place - Sam Bass Big Barrel Challenge
Mavericks Baseball takes 1st place in the Sam Bass Big Barrel Challenge on May 2nd & 3rd. The Mavericks fought hard to come back from a 0 to 5 defecit to beat the SA Shox in a California Tie Breaker, 6 to 5. Congratulations Mavs!!!

2nd Place - Nations Baseball Spring Classic II
The Mavericks finished 2nd in the Nations Baseball Spring Classic II on April 25th & 26h at Big League Dreams in League City Texas.

2nd Place - Round Rock Freeze Tournament
Mavericks Baseball competed in the Round Rock Super Series Freeze Tournament on February 21st & 22nd to capture their first trophy of the season. The Mavericks started Sunday play off as third seed in the double elimination 10U American division. Starting at 8a the team beat the Austin Young Guns 9 to 3 to advance the second game against the first seed Bonecrushers. The boys were a bit tired and fell to the Bonecrushers 1 to 8 to propell them to the third game of the day. With solid play from the Mavericks, the boys took the win against the Young Guns 8 to 4. The Mavericks faced the Bonescrushers once againg in the championship game. Playing in their 4th game of the day, all of which were back to back, and facing a relative fresh Bonecrushers, the boys played some hard fought baseball but in the end, tired and out of pitching, the team took home 2nd place. Mavericks baseball is off and running and we look forward to a great season.
