Some of may have noticed the initials DGW on the back of the Burlington hats. This is in honor of former Burlington and Milton educator DG Weaver who recently passed away. DG was an outstanding teacher, coach, athletic director and principle at both MIlton and Burlington high school's. He was the driving force behind Burlington's beautiful new track and football/soccer field. DG was also the person who first hired me to coach baseball way back in 1987. I will forever be grateful to him for giving me that first opportunity all those years ago. I am also very grateful that the Burlington team has dedicated their season to DG. It is a very nice and classy gesture by Coach Perry Bove and his players.
