Rocky Point Youth Soccer Club Travel Program
The mission of the Rocky Point Youth Soccer Club - Travel Division is to provide all Point School District Students the opportunity to play soccer at the highest level commensurate with their individual ability, potential, and interest.
Rocky Point Youth Soccer Club offers a Travel soccer program in association with the Long Island Junior Soccer League. Travel teams are fielded from ages U9 through U19. The Long Island Junior Soccer League's travel soccer program encompasses all levels of competition on a division system. Divisions are set by geography in the younger age groups with travel distances most likely increasing as teams get older.
All travel teams are required to have tryouts at the end of every seasonal year. All age-eligible children are invited to tryout, with coaches choosing players based on roster limits (set by LIJSL) as well as skill level, team spirit and hard work. If a child does not make a travel team in a given seasonal year, they are more than welcome to take part in our Interleague program and tryout the following year. Roster limits vary by age group, so as the players get older there is a need for more players on travel rosters - which makes the Interleague program a great feeder program to our travel teams.
Depending on team goals, additional expenses for training, tournaments and off-season leagues may be required. It is suggested that you inquire with the coach at tryouts to find out what additional expenses will be necessary.
