Our 5th Wrestler of the Week for the 2006/2007 season is:
Max Potter
Max has been bringing his “A” game to every practice and working hard on his fundamentals. He has been putting in extra time at home working on his takedown defense and has proven himself in tournament competition. At the Lake Stevens tournament, Max missed his usual 55lb Bantam bracket by a little and wound up in unfamiliar territory in the 60lb group. Not to be intimidated, Max went 3-0 to win the tournament, scoring one fall along the way. His choice was always on his feet and was never taken down. Great job Max… Keep up the hard work.

Jake in Red
Our first Wrestler of the Week for the 2006/2007 Season is:
Jake Douglas
Jake is new to the club this year after wrestling for other clubs the past couple years. Jake has been at every practice since the season started quietly working as hard as he possibly can throughout every single practice. He has been a great wrestling partner in the practice room setting a fine example for everyone in the room. Wrestling his 1st tournament of the season this past weekend; Jake went 3-2 on the day, with one of his loses being to a teammate and the other in the Bronze medal match where he wrestled very well in losing a close decision. Each of Jake’s three victories came by Fall. He wrestled very well throughout the tournament applying constant pressure and working the techniques he has been learning in practice. And most importantly, he displayed good sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Great job Jake.
