...Garrett and his wife Kay work closely with youth athletic teams and other motivational youth
groups where they teach and demonstrate what character and winning means in life. In short,
their programs are about the values that underlie competition and training to be successful.

Garrett is a self-starter and he knows how to get the job done to high standards. He will be an
extremely valuable asset to any team he joins.

Garrett,
Boy, you've come along way since the '90's. It is always great to hear from you older guys
and to see how your families have grown. God bless you and your family. You make us proud.

Cordially,

Florida State Seminoles Head Football Coach (retired)

I had the opportunity to recruit and sign Kay Bachert-Konerza at Louisiana Tech and she helped keep La Tech as one of the top schools in the nation by her play on the court and her leadership off the court. No one volunteered more than Kay to help sell our program and to also give back to the community. Kay always had a smile on her face and was the ultimate team player and Christian role model that our girls could look up to.

Head Women's Basketball Coach, Texas A&M University

There is no finer person than Kay Bachert. She is a wonderful
Christian woman that I have known since she was my teammate at
Louisiana Tech University. I am sure the people of Big Sandy will
quickly see the strength and character of Kay and Garrett and will
appreciate what tremendous assets they will be to their new home
town.

Head Women's Basketball Coach, Baylor University

Peak Performance is invaluable in teaching young athletes what it takes to be successful both in athletics and life. As successful competitors in the college ranks and business world, Garrett and Kay have an in-depth perspective on what it takes to reach the next level. My sons have
been highly impacted by the mental and physical training they received in their program. I would recommend it to all young athletes looking to gain the necessary tools for success in life.

We are grateful that the Bacherts improved the sports curriculum in our small community adding camps for our youth, as well as competitive team
sports. Their focus on leadership, improving the children?s' skills, and being a team player was impressive. Our two sons enjoyed learning from them and will take that solid foundation of attitude and skills to accomplish their goals for their future.

Thanks for working with Aaron it has been a great help for us. You guys helped us get a better understanding of what the college world looks like. You guys are great to work with and always keep the best interest of the kids in mind. Aaron told us he was prepared for college because of
the time he spent with your program. We all saw the results of Aaron working with your program his senior year in high school as he elevated to a dominant athlete on the basketball court. Aaron led the state in steals, improved his 3 pt shooting to 43% of 92 attempts, and averaging 20.6
points a game. We truly believe these stats came as a result of hard work combined with the physical and mental training Aaron received from your Peak Performance Program.

Thanks so much.

The Bacherts coached my son in basketball and track, as well as general fitness. They worked him hard and he prospered! His athletic abilities also carry over to other sports, like soccer and
tennis. My son loved the competitive nature of working with the Bacherts, and also the way they were endlessly encouraging to all.

Garrett and Kay were instrumental in bringing organization, structure, and purpose to youth sports in our small community. They brought a professionalism coupled with the background needed to create an environment for kids to excel as developing athletes and quality individuals.
Garrett and Kay exemplify the qualities necessary to be exceptional coaches, who remain focused on the kid's best interest. As a former Olympian and mom of two daughters I was thrilled to have an opportunity to involve my kids with all their programs. My daughters have learned
invaluable lessons and hold Garrett and Kay in the highest regard.

INPUT FOR SPORTS BOOTCAMP

Garrett and Kay,
The questions you asked I will give you my thoughts, numerically.

1. The top characteristics kids need to develop are honesty, compassion and courage of
conviction.
2. Without 'attitude' (a positive one) you won't do what you need to do.
3. Natural Talent comes from God. Be thankful and develop it to the fullest.
4. Set high goals and 'go after it'. Keep your eyes on your Goal.
5. You will stay focused if you have proper attitude. Attitude supersedes focus.
6. It is fine to be influenced by the right people and then you can use it to influence others.
7. Keep it in perspective. Education comes first it will last a life time. What you do in athletics will
be forgotten in 30 years. However, do your best.
8. There will always be naysayers saying you 'can't do it'. Ignore them.
9. The greatest leaders came from small towns. Don't let that slow you down. It all goes back to
positive attitude.

What are the top characteristics you think kids should strive to develop and why?
Just to name a couple, and I do believe there are many more, patience and discipline are two that
I see missing a lot in the younger generation. I often see tons of potential buried because kids do
not have the patience or discipline to develop it.
-How important is attitude?
Attitude is HUGE. It can make you or break you. Normally, we go as our attitude goes. A change
in attitude (one way or the other) can change the course of your life.
-How important is natural talent?
Natural talent can give a person an advantage but only if he/she develops the talent.
Someone that may not possess as much natural talent can work his/her way to a place of high
performance.
-How important is setting goals?
Goal setting is very important. A person needs to have an idea of where he/she is going and how
he/she will get there... We need short term and long tern goals. I have noticed that our players
that have specific goals that are outlined preserve more and are more successful than those that
do not.
-How can young people who want to strive for excellence stay focused?
Have an outlined plan that is written down?
